The coastline of the Akamas is one of the most beautiful in Cyprus.
When you rent a boat you will have many different bays to explore and sights to see along the way. Some of the highlights are described below, although there are also many more bays which are not listed here.
St Georges Island
This island is located around 800 meters offshore from St George’s Reef. On the surface the barren volcanic outcrop is home to multiple species of seabirds, while below the surface the island is home to a vast array of marine life including tuna, groupers, trumpet fish and octopus.
Secret Beach
Swim through the cave or around the rocks to this hidden sandy beach, but it’s a secret so don’t tell anyone!

Manolis Bay
Manolis was a fisherman, to be more precise a dynamite fisherman. According to local legend this is where he gave up fishing permanently...
As you enter this bay you will notice that the water has taken on a beautiful blue colour, this is due to the fine white sand on the seabed. As you progress into the bay you will see the caves and jumbled rocks that make this bay so interesting, when snorkeling look out for the large family of trumpet fish that have made this bay their home and observe the way they change colour relative to their environment.
The Blue Lagoon
The most popular bay in the whole of Cyprus, as soon as you arrive you will be dazzled by the beautiful white sandy bottom and crystal clear turquoise water. The stunning chamili islet provides an impressive habitat for many types of marine life and excellent snorkeling. This bay is a definite must!
Fontana Amorosa
There are still four visible cutouts in the rocks for docking boats and its location provides shelter from the prevailing wind, a perfect place to stop for awhile. Look underwater and as you might expect from a harbour you will find some rubbish, but ancient rubbish in the form of amphora. Some are said to be offerings to the gods, whereas others are clearly from shipwrecks. Most of these have now fused into the rocks and have become homes to various types of marine life.
Arnaoutis Beach
Situated at Cyprus’s western most point, this golden sandy beach is an ideal spot for a picnic and its seclusion makes it an ideal place to get away from it all. From here you will see the offshore reef which is 8km from Latchi harbour and a turnaround point for your trip along the coast.

We have rented such self-driven boats before in Italy and Greece but never experienced such outstanding customer service. The team are wonderful and super attentive. They even came with their rescue boat to escort us to the Blue lagoon as the sea was a bit rough. The kids received “Awesome boat driver” certificates and were over the moon. My daughter fell asleep tonight holding the certificate. Thank you!

This was by far the BEST day of our holiday. What a fantastic experience this was having our own boat with the freedom and privacy to go where we wanted, when we wanted, stop when we wanted, move when we wanted and it was cheaper than going on a 4 hour cruise where your sandwiched in with hundreds of others. This was on my to do list from the second we booked to come to Cyprus and I am so happy we did! The staff were all amazing. Im we felt incredibly safe and well looked after. You must book one of these boats YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
You get a cool box full of ice which I knew beforehand so we had a bag full of water, juices, pop, sandwiches and crisps so we were able to have lunch aboard our own boat in the blue lagoon-absolute BLISS!
Fuel for the 4 hours cost 26 euros which you pay on top of the boat hire once you get back.
The rubber ring hire is 20 euros which they forgot to mention so very kindly discounted this to 10 euros as I probably wouldn’t have bothered taking it otherwise but it was still fun but we only used it once so I wouldn’t bother again. Still very, very kind of thrr we m to reduce the fee as I thought it came with it!

Decided to rent a boat for a day having remembered the amazing 4 hrs we had in 2017. This time we went for a less powerful boat but for all day. A very professional brief; offered the use of cool boxes and ice (we’d bought our own for our picnic). Decked out with the obligatory life vests, we were taken out of the marina before assuming reign of the boat, the Life of Riley… a wonderful leisurely trip towards the Blue Lagoon, stopping along the way for some snorkelling. The safety boats patrolling up and down the coast were a welcome and secure-inspiring site.. radio checks were promptly answered and when we had a niggle trying to restart our boat at the Blue Lagoon, the safety staff were with us within 5 minutes of calling our issue in … brilliant service and support!
We had a brilliant day, connected a phone via Bluetooth to the boat’s audio system and we had music all day. The wife definitely wants to return once more before the season finishes. Thanks to the Team and we’ll see you soon

It’s not hard to give good service but latchi water sports made it look easy. From the moment we booked to the moment we got off the boat we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. we hired a boat for four hours and a rubber ring which my son found hilarious fun, well done latchi water sports if we were here longer we’d do it again. Thank you from the Waller family from England.

Amazing all round. Professionally and quickly dealt with upon arrival.
Ryan went through everything in great detail, easy to understand, with the safety of everyone in mind and after filling out the paperwork and briefing he got us out on to our 4 hour adventure without a hitch.
First time driving a boat, thought I might be a bit nervous but actually it was an incredible experience. My face cheeks ached as I was enjoying it that much I could stop smiling.
My wife and daughter loved it too and was probably the highlight of our holiday.
This is definitely a bucket list item. I recommend everyone should do this if you ever get the opportunity.
There was a safety boat that was always about and will check in with you to make sure your OK. We actually had an incident when anchored and they came to our rescue quickly, they were really understanding and quickly helped get us on our way.
Can't recommend this outfit enough.
If I go to Cyprus again, I will 100% be doing this again!
Well done to all that worked there as everyone seemed to be happy in their roles too.
