The tour was great. The scenery was beautiful. We got to see some alligators from afar as well as birds. Our tour guide Michelle was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and friendly and had a lot of appreciate for the swamp and its importance in the ecosystem.

I had so much more fun on this tour than I thought I would. I went as a solo traveler and was made to feel comfortable and part of the group, which comprised of all people on a work trip together. As an avid birder and kayaker, this was the perfect excursion for me. AJ our guide was patient with my endless questions and really filled us in on the specifics of the wetlands and eco system. Definitely a must do while in NOLA if you are into nature and adventure. He even sent us all recommendations for his favorite local spots, which aren’t the normal tourist grabs. What a great day!

Highlight of our NOLA trip! Kids aged 10 and 12 loved it. Felt safe the whole time, loved kayaking into the areas that bigger boats just wouldn’t make it into. Kids managed it though you do have to work harder to make up for them, if they were older/teenagers then they would maybe manage a single kayak but we went in doubles. Loved seeing the gators in their natural environment. Defo recommend!!!

If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of NOLA, take a trip to the beautiful Manchac Swamp and get your sanity back! MJ was our phenomenal driver and our brilliant kayak tour guide. She's knowledgeable about all things ecologically related to Louisiana, and she shares her knowledge generously and enthusiastically. WE LEARNED SO MUCH ON THIS TOUR! When we arrived at the swamp, MJ gave us a quick lesson on how to kayak, and we launched ourselves into the lazy waters of Manchac Swamp. (We definitely weren't white water rafting here!) We saw gators and learned about their life cycles, we saw herons and egrets and even a huge owl! We saw snakes swimming by, and we learned all about how important the bald cypress trees are to the Louisiana ecosystem. There were delicate spider lilies and invasive water hyacinths and stately water tupelo trees. MJ taught us about them all! It was a beautiful day with a cool breeze and hardly any humidity...just perfect! I am a 67 year old woman, and the paddling was easy enough for me to thoroughly enjoy it. DON'T HESITATE, GO ON THIS LOVELY, MELLOW, FASCINATING SWAMP TOUR NOW!

I did the Manchac Swamp Wildlife Kayak Tour with MJ and she was a great knowledgeable guide who went above and beyond. I've visited NO many times and this was one of my favorite activities. I ended up going solo and my friends were sorry they missed it. MJ made me feel comfortable even though I was on my own.

Fantastic way to experience the bayou! Enjoyed Nick's commentary on the wildlife and swamp ecosystem. Equipment was stable and well maintained, drive out from New Orleans took about 40 minutes.

Absolutely wonderful way to spend the afternoon! Our guide was knowledge and friendly. The pick up made it easy to get out of the city and still make it to dinner.

This trip is amazing. My friend and I wanted to experience New Orleans on the less touristy side and this tour allowed us to do that. The pick up location was fairly close to our hotel in the french quarter and our tour guide Alex was amazing. We paddled through the swamps and saw gators, owls and cotton mouth snakes. We freaked out a bit because the gators come straight to the boat, but once we got comfortable, it was great. Definitely recommend if you want to see the swamps etc. Would 10/10 do again. just remember to bring sunscreen and bottles of water, since lunch is not provided.

Great group, great scenery. Our guide, MJ, was amazing - deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of the ecosystem, funny, helpful, and extremely capable - never a moment of feeling unsafe. I lost count of all of the alligators we saw, not to mention the turtles and various birds. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. The transportation from the Quarter and back was very convenient. Highly recommend.
