Sooo much fun! We celebrated Mother's Day a day early - my son, daughter-in-love, and I had an amazing time. Saw lots of humpback whales, seal lions, and porpoises in the distance. We brought lots of yummy finger food - roasted baby potatoes, roasted asparagus, cheese cubes, crackers, olives and dragonfruit margaritas in a hydroflask. The crew was friendly, informed, and WE, being a not the biggest boat around, got to get so much closer to the whales. 100% worth every penny spent! Cheers! Suggestion: bring a large beach towel to sit on, or to use as a blanket across your legs. Sunglasses, a beanie or hoodie, visor, extra vest on top of a hoodie. Be prepared for fog and sun. Wear sunscreen even on a foggy day. Be prepared for traffic near Moss Landing, and plan accordingly. No regrets! Cheers!

Perfect weather! Crew was so helpful and knowledgeable. Only disappointment was only one whale sighting kind of far away. Certainly not anyone’s fault but everyone should be aware that whales sightings aren’t guaranteed! But I totally recommend this company for a great experience!

Firstly thank you for letting us change our booking a day earlier than planned when we just turned up. We really enjoyed our trip and crew were friendly and informative. We saw multiple pods of dolphins and several humpback, so not disappointed at all. Thankfully we dressed appropriately so wasn't cold, but I think we were lucky with the weather as sun made a difference 😉

Great time of year to see whales, sea lions and birds with wonderful sea conditions. I was very disappointed in the crew/naturalists, so if you are looking for an educational experience there may be some other companies out there to consider. I have been a whale watch naturalist for over 15 years in New England and Washington State and am used to seeing educational props/posters for kids to see and touch, as well as one-on-one experiences with the naturalist as they check on guests and answer questions. This was a very hands-off tour, even though there was tons to see. Very little mic time from our naturalist, and they did not spend any time walking around the vessel to interact with guests. In one circumstance there was a small private fishing vessel that was traveling at speed through the area where the humpbacks were and other vessels got on the mic and radio after using their horn, ours did not. It was very much a missed opportunity for a conservation message by our naturalist to inform guests, and the whole point to be out there is to be ocean stewards while appreciating our natural surroundings and wildlife. The captain however did an excellent job driving appropriately around humpbacks for distance and speed. So if your only goal is to see whales and other wildlife, this tour will do it, but I really hope in the future naturalists show more effort and passion with their role onboard to advocate for our oceans.

Went on a Monday morning, with beautiful weather. Our boat seemed smaller than some others we saw on the water, and even so it was not crowded, so everyone had a view & a seat. We saw 8 humpback whales, most within close vicinity to Moss Landing. Several of them were breaching repeatedly, which was cool to see. Toward the end of the outing, the captain took us further out into the bay to see some dolphins. I was impressed that the captain even bothered to spend the time and fuel taking us further out after we'd already seen the whales.

Not too many whales out this day but it was not for a lack of trying. This my second trip on the Sea Goddess and it will not be the last. Crew is great and the boat is clean. The pricing is better than other companies in the area. Already looking forward to our next trip. The crew even did some housekeeping in the ocean by picking up mylar balloons floating at sea.

It was a bit cool this time of your but the whales did not disappoint. We saw many breaches etc. Pay the extra few dollars to be on the upper deck. Well worth it. I’ll come later in the years next time but glorious. And for gods sake don’t use Groupons. Saw a cheap Asian lady almost lose her mind because she booked the wrong number in her party.
