Mount Batur Sunrise Hiking with Natural Hot Spring Option

I rate this experience 10/10. The tour company communicated well and was very organized. My driver Vixo was on time, his vehicle and clean and comfortable and he was very polite and friendly. I was a solo traveler which can sometimes be a bit alienating when there are large groups but this wasn’t the case at all. I was assigned the guide Putu who took care of me all the way. He literally held my hands (with permission of course) at the most difficult parts and made sure I was ok. The views from up top were absolutely incredible and totally worth it. I will advise a couple things to ensure you have the best experience: 1. check the weather forecast and book on a day where it is not expected to rain/overcast so you will have unobstructed views of the sunrise. 2. Bring a jacket bc it can get cold at the top (jackets are available for rent but bring your own if you have) 3. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. I survived by buying ion replacement energy drinks from the ladies along the way that sells snacks and other items 4. This was not an easy trek! I consider myself relatively active but the humidity, steep incline, altitude and overall quick pace was very physically demanding (I contemplated calling for the motorbike escort twice). The descent is very hard on your knees and ankles so if you have joint issues consider booking the option with the jeep or motorcycle to cut the trekking distance.

Best experience I have had so far! Your guide was very helpful throughout Top to Bottom. The views from the top are absolutely stunning. Recommend this hike to anyone!

Excellently organised from our hotel pick up to our drop off. Our driver, Katik Pesan was efficient and very helpful the entire trip. Our guide up the mountain was super helpful. Gave us breakfast up the top and went at our pace. We didn’t get a view but still a great hike otherwise- 75minutes to the top. Wear shoes with good grip, it’s slippery coming down.

Best experience, a must do, and this tour / company made it so enjoyable and easy (well the actual climb was a bit hard for me lol ) . The climb itself is an experience, the views amazing when you reach the top , what a beautiful place to have the privilege of visiting . The pools also a must , I’m sure it helped my legs to feel not so bad the next day . Wira our driver was great , highly recommend , on time , friendly, and sorted all the bits of our day . He was a very safe driver , for what was a long trip , and his English is better than he thinks it is. Lubak our guide for the climb was epic! I couldn’t have done the limb without his support , he steadied me when things were a bit wobbly, and pulled me up some of the harder parts of the climb ! Friendly , funny , knowledgeable, I would want to find him again next time ! Can highly recommend this company, driver, guide , and overall experience. What a day ! (And was home by lunchtime )
