Orlando was an awesome tour guide and the whole day was super fun and exciting! Was a smaller bus compared to other tour companies so it definitely felt more intimate and just overall better.

Our tour guide Dimitry is great at explaining the attractions on Mount Buller and guided us there. He informed us in advance on where the meeting point will be and accommodated to our requests on how we want to spend our time. We took the sightseeing chairlift and went for our first ski experience, which was fun! We had a slight delay during our visit due to some road blocks but thankfully everything went fine.

Paul our driver was an absolute legend. He made everyone feel comfortable, drove safely and was fantastic at explaining the Mt Buller village to complete newbies. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, the fog cleared and we were met with incredible views from the chair lift. Later in the afternoon it started to snow for a good few hours, which was completely unexpected. It was perfect for my sons birthday, even building a snowman. This tour was fantastic, especially for the inexperienced like us, being our first time to the snow. Thank you to Paul and the team for an incredible day.

It was a great day out with young kids. Although the weather wasn’t great this week (raining and low visibility), kids still had a lot of fun playing at the snow. We stopped at a coffee shop about one hour after we left Melbourne for a quick break. Our guide Paul showed us around the village once we got there, and from around 11am to 2:45pm we could do whatever we wanted. I’d suggest doing toboggans first because there was a 20 minutes queue to get in later in the afternoon and the area was very crowded. The ride on the chairlift was great fun for the kids and there weren’t many people there at 11am, no need to pre purchase the tickets as they also can get cancelled without a refund if it’s too misty. Note that the bus will drop you off at the first car park and then you’ll have to catch a very packed shuttle bus up to the village, and we waited for around 15 minutes for the shuttle bus to arrive (so dress up warmly to begin with, especially if you are planning to hire snow jackets etc as hire shops are only available up in the village). It set us back around $250 to hire snow jackets, snow pants, snow boots and a locker for 1 adult and 2 children. You will need a change of clothes for the kids because their shoes and socks got wet on a way to the village from the wet snow. And also their clothes got wet from all the rolling in the snow etc even with snow gear on as it was a very wet day.

Coming from Philippines, this trip was an amazing experience for the whole family :) Just enough time was given. Although, I pre-booked for the chairlift, but unfortunately it was misty, and we couldn’t go and tickets purchased from Mt, Buller , were not refundable, just wasted 6 tickets, but it was still loads of fun for the kids. Paul was a good driver, and explained things to us in Mt. Buller. Hit the Roads tour is very professional, tours were on time. There were last minute changes (my bad) but it was fixed . Thank you Hit the roads for the superb experience!

Sam was amazing It was a long day but Sam did a couple of stops to break it up. Hire your boots at Mansfield before you get to Mt.Buller. We didn’t and ended up with wet feet walking in slush. Wear waterproof pants . Had a great experience and first time in snow seeing snow.
