We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour with Me (our guide)! We booked a private tour for one day and visited Cat Cat Village, Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, and Ta Van. Overall the trek was about 16km (according to my step counter) and was at a moderate level with some climbs but all on good pathways. Our guide, Me, spoke very good English and told us all about village life, traditions, culture and beliefs. We got to see examples of Black Hmong culture including hemp clothing being made on a loom, corn grinding, rice farming and more. Me was great at answering our questions and we loved hearing all about her life and family in Ta Van village! Lunch was included and we had a feast of delicious local food. We were lucky with the weather and had some fantastic views of the valley, mountains and rice paddies. I think the best time of year to come is June, to see the rice paddies in full bloom, but we really enjoyed the trek. Thank you Me for a great day out!

Totally overprice with bad arrangement. I was informed the night before that extra charge is need for public holiday, none of the terms mentioned about this. The company only call and arrange the guide when I arrive which I wait for 40mins for him to come. He had no idea he need to work on the day. I have not enter any village as mentioned in the description, for the whole trip mainly chat with the guide and see some normally rural area which you can see at many other places and don't need to pay so much for it. During lunch, I do expect I can try some daily farm product from the minority group, but only a normal fried rice is provided. None I have see the activity of the minority group or wintness the culture or art craft of them. Join other company tour please, Just for people who consider coming, please choice a sunny day without fog and the trek is a bit hard and slippy, wear your hiking shoes .

We had a great time doing the sapa trekking tour for 1 day. Sadly the weather wasn’t the best, still we had a great time hiking with Dinh. She was a great tour guide and cooked great food for the trip. I can only recommend the trekking tour!

We had an amazing time on this trip with guide Dinh! It’s a remote trek which requires a botvier fitness but the nature and views are stunning! You will not encounter a single tourist on this hike and it ends in a small village. Recommended!

You'd definitely want to do a tour because then you have a guide who can describe the culture in Sapa and gives you good company. May was our guide who took us around our day trip in Sapa. She is very friendly and we had great conversations with her. We took the overnight train till Lao Cai and then a public bus from there to Sapa. The views are really nice of the terraced rice fields. I'm not too fussy so I still enjoyed the off season before the harvest. You get to see a different view of the rice fields. The walk can be challenging in certain parts but rewarding. There may be some ethnic ladies who may follow you on your trek . They act as good help but will ask you to buy some local handicrafts and souvenirs in the end.

I had the most amazing experience with our guide Pang from the Hmong community. Her passion for sharing her culture and the breathtaking sights made the day truly unforgettable. The highlight was visiting her home, where she warmly welcomed us and cooked a delicious meal. Pang's personal touch and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of authenticity to the tour. I highly recommend this one-to-one tour for a unique and enriching cultural experience. Thank you, Pang, for making our day so special!

We did the tour in end November 2023, Dinh was our guide and the tour went really well! On the way up to the mountain view spots, she stopped by certain plants and explained to us what they were used for. At the top, she also shared with us the different villages, their people and their languages. It’s quite a climb up but views were worth it. Along the way, we saw some buffalos, horses and chickens. Lunch was in a cookhouse with all the other tour groups, the meal was simple but tasty. After lunch, we started the descend down, walking along rice fields. This part got pretty slippery and tricky but Dinh was very patient and helpful. Dinh was so cheerful, kind and patient throughout the tour. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend this tour!

We had a great time here in Sapa during our trekking tour. Tung was very kind and showed us all the beautiful sights of Sapa and thought us about the culture here. The length of the hike was perfect and we were able to deviate from the normal route to avoid the crowd as Tung knew many alternative routes. We felt very welcome at all the places we visited during the tour. We would highly recommend this tours if you would like to experience Sapa from the perspective of the local people!
