The Hooker Valley Track is the most popular short walking track within the Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park in New Zealand. At only 10-kilometres length and gaining only about 100 m in height, the well-formed track can be walked by tourists with a wide range of level of fitness.

We celebrated our anniversary with a beautiful trip over to the magnificent Mt Cook from Queenstown
Our first pilot Jason from True South who was amazing, we had a smooth flight and he was so informative and patient with us. After the flight He took us on a walk to the blue lakes and a trip to the Heritage Resort.
He made the experience truly unforgettable.

Fabulous experience! The views were amazing - everyone had their own window! We took two different routes to and from Mt Cook so we got to see a lot. Our great pilot, Connor, took wonderful care of us - shuttling us to the Hooker Valley Track and then to the Hermitage Hotel for lunch/drinks before flying us back to Queenstown. Such an enjoyable day!

Joseph our pilot was incredible. He was the perfect cocktail of calm, informative and funny. He gave excellent commentary while we were in the air about interesting anecdotes below and flew us smoothly into mt.cook. The window seats for all passengers were fantastic and the entrance and exit from the flight was swift and easy. Joseph dropped and collected us from the hooker trail by car and brought all the other passengers where they needed to go at whatever time they choose.
Really personalised experience with stunning views of both fox and franz josef glaciers and amazing flight experience overall.

Incredible experience. Will Clark was our pilot and he was a great guy! Narrated during the flight and kept the ride nice and smooth! It was nice spending the day with him exploring Mt. Cook National Park! This is a highly professional company, all the staff were very friendly and eager to help us out. Will definitely take another fight when we return to New Zealand!!

Great time today doing the trip to Mt Cook and a heli hike. Helped by great conditions, and natural beauty, the trip to Mt Cook was awesome. Perky and Conner did a great job of making the trip enjoyable.

This is the second trip I booked with Glenorchy Air because the first one (Milford Sound/ Cruise Flight) was so good! Mt. Cook was even better! Pilot James Stokes flew us to Mt. Cook and back and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Lots of facts and history on the way up and the most jaw-dropping views of the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers. He was helpful in picking a trail to explore (Hooker Valley Track), and even shuttled us to and from. I can't give these folks enough praise! Definitely take advantage of one their experiences.

Spent 7 weeks touring New Zealand. There were 2 stand out experiences: Milford Sound overnight and this.
Not a lot needs to be said about the fly-explore-fly really other than if you’re on the South Island and can get to Queenstown this is really is a must. It is quite simply excellent.
We were picked up from hotel and taken to airport. We were checked in. We were met by our pilot, Connor, and taken to the plane. We were flown, about 70 minutes, to Mount Cook. Connor’s commentary and interpersonal skills were exceptional. He then ferried us to our chosen activity ( the walk to Fraser River), picked us up and then ferried us to The Hermitage Hotel where we stayed for lunch. He then picked us up, took us back to the airport before flying us back, about 60 minutes. We were then returned to our hotel by taxi.
Apart from saying obvious things like it’s a light aircraft (we had a 6 seater ), it’s likely to move about a bit in the air and it could be a bit cold then I just can’t see how you can’t do this as it is one of those things that will stay with you forever.
My thanks to the team, and especially to Connor for the excellence of service, and the
simply awe inspiring and magnificent views we were privileged to experience.
