Stop At: Nasca Lines, Nazca Peru
Fly over the World Heritage-listed geoglyphs. The high, arid plateau of the Nasca Desert reaches across more than 50 miles (80 km); its isolation and dry climate has helped to preserve the lines over time. The exact origins and significance of these hundreds of figures are unclear, but it’s believed that the designs were created by the Nasca people between 400 and 650 AD. Fly over several of the individual designs, many of which are animals; your pilot will let you know which designs you're about to see; the monkey, spider, flamingo, condor and hummingbird represent the winter and summer solstices; their beaks point to the location of the sunrises and sunsets on the solstice days in Nasca. During the 1.5-hour flight, you'll have plenty of time to view the one-of-a-kind artwork with great photo ops from the air!

Never got to see the Lines. After signing up and paying, they cancelled on me the day before I was supposed to go. While they offered to take me 3 days later, I was already leaving Lima by then. They did give me a refund. I was disappointed as I thought that when I paid that they had already assessed availability.

Mémorable once in a life time experience. The day started off with driver picking up promptly at 630am with a 4 hour drive to Pisco. Arrived in Pisco airport and greeted with nice airport staff. Hopped on a 12 seater Cessna plane. The pilots are very nice and informed. 30 minute plane trip to see Nazca Lines. Spent 30 minutes viewing the lines with a 30 minute plane trip back to airport. 5 hour ride back to hotel. A total worthwhile experience when planning a trip to Lima, Peru😊!

This was amazing and our tour guide and driver were the best! The Nazca lines really blend into the terrain so you have to look quickly if you're taking photographs, but we really enjoyed the airplane ride and all the photographic opportunities. It was a great experience overall! The pilot makes sure that everyone on both sides gets to see the lines too.

Flight was great, soft, we could see a lot of nazca figures on both sides of the plain;

This is an incredible experience… do not miss it! Our tour guide, Ursula, was knowledgeable, friendly, and was one of the most helpful guides we have ever had! Our driver was careful and professional and the vehicle was extremely comfortable! This is absolutely the way to do the Nazca Lines from Lima… make sure to request Ursula!

The overflight itself was good, the pilots were amazing. They did their atmost to provide us the best opportunities to see and photograph the geogliphs.
BUT, the overall organization and transportation were terrible, to say the least. The driver got to the wrong address for the pickup, to begin with. We were supposed to be on flight from Pisco at 11 am. It was a long 3 hours drive from Lima to Pisco, and we were rushed by the guide to hurry to be on time (10 minutes for toilets and coffee on the half way stop). Once we were approaching Pisco, the guide started to say that we may have problems with the flight due to weather conditions, and that some delays may occuer. We got to the airport on time (before 11 am) . We saw the 11 o'clock flight leaving, not full. The guide then told us that due to "weather conditions" we had to wait till 13 o'clock. This was obviously not true, since we saw the 11 o'clock flight leaving on time. We had to wait for two hours on an empty airport, with no restaurant or place to get food but vending machines. After the airplane came back, we were allowed to join the 13 o'clock flight. As said, the flight itself was realy wonderful. After coming back at 17 o'clock, we had another surprise. We bagged the guide to go to lunch, since we did not eat from the morning. The guide said it is impossible. Insted of going back, already late, to Lima, the guide told us that we are now going to pick up some more passangers. So, we went further south to Paracas, for this pickup. Finally, late in the afternoon we went back to Lima. By this time, the traffic was horrible. We got back to the hotel after 20 o'clock. We have been on the roads from 7 AM to 20 PM, overall 13 hours, for a 1 and half hours of attraction. Most of time with no food, and being rushed by the guide, that also did not bother to provide us with any background information about the attraction itself. We paid a lot of money for this trip, and we felt like being used as hitchhikers on a transportation arrangement for other purposes. It was a grim experience for us.

This excursion was worth every cent! I had read prior to going that those who experience motion sickness should take precautions. Although I was queasy, others were not so lucky, so be prepared. The overflight was simply amazing! It is incredible that these geoglyphs exist. In retrospect, if someone is contemplating this trip, they should consider other attractions in the area such as Paracas and plan an overnight stay in the area. We had been in Paracas the previous day (a four hour trip from Lima) and did it again the next day to experience the Nazca Lines.

Well organised and received frequent communications from the tour operator in the run up to the tour. The drive is 4 hours each direction (with a refreshment stop halfway). Refreshment points had clean toilets and a well stocked grocery store. The flight itself is incredible. The pilot will circle around each geoglyph on both the left and right side of the plane so everyone gets a clear view, each passenger has a window seat. A long day but breathtaking memories.

The time spent flying over the Nazca lines is really interesting. However, it is only about 45 minutes. Taking this trip from Lima means departing Lima at about 07:00 and returning about 12 hours later. Seeing the Nazca lines is much better done from places closer to Nazca. The closer, the better.
