This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Schloss Neuschwanstein, Neuschwansteinstrasse 20, 87645 Schwangau, Bavaria Germany
Your private tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Munich and drive to Hohenschwangau village. then we take the shuttle bus to Marienbrücke, a 19th-century crossing that overlooks the Pöllat Gorge. Gaze down at Neuschwanstein Castle with its elaborate turrets and parapets, and then pose for photos set against the backdrop of the heart-stopping Tegelberg mountain.
Then, head inside Neuschwanstein Castle for your walking tour, and learn how it was built for King Ludwig II in the 19th century. While the Romanesque Revival castle was intended as Ludwig’s retreat, the building was never completed and the king spent less than half a year living inside it. Admire the stately interiors, including murals that pay homage to compose Richard Wagner – Ludwig’s operatic idol – inside the Minstrel’s Hall. Explore rooms like Ludwig’s bedroom and admire the dazzling ornamentation of the Byzantine Throne Room.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Oberammergau Museum, Dorfstr. 8, 82487 Oberammergau, Bavaria Germany
travel onward to the village of Oberammergau, where the famous Passion Play is held once every 10 years. Explore the village, admiring its pretty Lüftlmalerei (painted houses).
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Schloss Linderhof, Linderhof 12, 82488 Ettal, Bavaria Germany
then travel to Linderhof Castle – another of Ludwig’s former homes.
Nestled deep in the forest, Linderhof was the castle where the eccentric king spent most of his time. Step inside to see its lavish rooms such as the Hall of Mirrors and the Audience Chamber, and then visit the outside Venus Grotto – an artificial cave said to be modeled on Capri’s Blue Grotto (at the moment the Grotto is closed for maintenance works until further notice).

Such a wonderful day-we were picked up at our hotel and the experience was top notch. In addition to our tours, we were able to experience the charming Bavarian village of Oberammergau, where we enjoyed shopping and lunch on our own. Everything was so charming and it even snowed! Thank you for a great experience!

We could not have been more pleased with our tours! We booked two day tours from Munich and our guides were Sandro, Astrid and Barbara. All 3 were perfect and we’ve considered booking another trip specifically around touring with them.

Sandro was excellent and the trip was gorgeous! There was an issue with our car that broke down half way to Neuschwanstein, but he was quick to find a solution, calm, and very professional. Got us to our tour and had a backup guide there waiting. Barbara was amazing as well!!! When we finished out first castle tour, Sandro was back with a new car and nothing changed for us! Highly recommend!!! These guys are quick, professional, and so very nice!

We had a great time on this tour with our guide, Paul. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and all around great person.
The sights were great and the facts that Paul shared made the experience so much richer.
As a bonus, Paul also took us to the abbey at Ettal, which wasn't even part of the itinerary but we had time and Paul made it happen. We weren't even aware.
Just great trip! 100% recommended
