What an amazing tour. Our tour guide Jacqueline was very knowledgeable about the castles and the history of Ludwig II. The tour bus was spacious and comfortable. We would have loved to stay longer at each destination but we understand the tour has to keep a tight schedule. Linderhof Castle was beautiful only wish we had more time to explore the grounds. I was warned before going up to Neuschwanstein castle that the walking isn't for someone with bad knees. Please listen to them when they say it. The walk down was brutal. If you want to go up and just take pictures from the bridge thats ok take the horse drawn carriage down. The castle has over 300 stairs going up and more going down (or so it seemed). We would have loved to take the shuttle down or the horse drawn carriage but we were warned that it may make us late. We were asked to walk down. It is about a 20 minute walk all downhill 40 + minutes if you go slow. If you have bad knees I would not recommend it. Mine were on fire the entire next 2 days.

Great tour from Ursula and bus driver Smiley. She kept things moving and had a great knowledge of history. Her hints on the best way to climb to the castle were spot on.

The bus was top notch, every person had a window view. The tour guide Deisy was lovely and the bus driver was great, loved the German stout he gave at the end of a long day. The climb to Neuschwanstein was definitely worth it if you can manage it. I will say I wish we had been given vouchers for the little bus or horse carriage to Neuschwanstein, however, at least for people who were not able to make the trek up. I'd think the VIP tour would include that. The VIP tour was worth it though as the group was small and the bus very comfortable.

We loved Deyse and our driver. Smaller coach…roomy. Great trip! All bases covered. The climb up to the mountain was invigorating but not for everyone. Enjoy!
