Meet and board at the carriage stand located at 700 Decatur Street. As your carriage departs from Jackson Square, your driver/guide will regale you with stories of the city's founding as the carriage passes through the historic French Quarter street.

New Orleans is considered to be the most haunted city in America. Countless tragedies have happened right in the French Quarter, including devastating floods and fires killing thousands, contagious epidemics resulting in thousands of deaths, and other odd occurrences like weird human torture experiments, medical experiments, love lost, and more. These stories have been documented in police records and history books, and some can be quite alarming! You'll learn about the stories, then about how the "spirits" are letting people know that they are still very present! Do you have goosebumps yet?

Tickets prices apply to each passenger onboard the carriage, with the exception of infants or toddlers up to 4 years of age. All infants and toddlers must remain in the lap of their parent or guardian throughout the carriage tour.
Wheelchair accessible; please advise at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Desire and her friend (the driver) were awesome!! Our driver has been here since 2001 and had great stories. It was nice ride.

Awesome tour through the French Quarter with Norma! It was a fun and relaxing time hearing the history and darker sides of the area.

I would like to review it however as we got caught up in grid locked traffic we were a few minutes late and the tour had to go without us. While I do understand timing and needing to keep on schedule, we asked the staff there at the pick up location if we could be put on any other tour that evening. We were met with a gruff NO. We then the next day called Royal Carriages directly. There were spots open for another day. I asked if we could be switched to anything they had open again it was NO. I offered to pay a little more if that would help, as long as we did not lose out on the whole thing, NOPE. Pay for a whole other tour. Again I understand business needs and we were not expecting or asking for a refund, but at least try to help accommodate if possible, or at least work with people. Things happen that are out of people's control.

Really a 4.5 if I could. The ride was enjoyable, Josie our mule gave us a good ride comfortable carriage.
Shannon our guide was entertaining and informative with stories of New Orleans. We however no fault of the tour, had to be dropped off, in Marigny, there was a disturbance in Jackson square.
Cops flying everywhere. This gave us an extra almost mile of walking. I understand the change of plans for our safety but alittle closer to the starting point would have been appreciated.

It was a wonderful tour. We had a 14 and 16 year old boy plus four adults and we all loved it. Stephanie was our guide and she was hilarious and informative. Ivan was our mule and a big part of the adventure! They treat the animals well. Definitely recommend!!! We had a carriage for just our family. We saw so much more than the walking tours, which were crowded, and people didn’t look very happy. This is definitely worth the extra money.

Great tour and very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Carriage ride can be bumpy at times, but definitely worth it to see so many beautiful streets of the French Quarter. KJ is terrific, our gang rated his tour as one of our favorite activities of our 5 day New Orleans trip,
