Having been to Newport RI dozens of times, and taken various tours over the years, I wasn’t sure if the trolley ride was going to be worth going on. I was wrong! Dominic was awesome and so interesting, melding personal experiences with historical facts in an entertaining way. This is a must do if you are in Newport. Highly recommend!

It was a beautiful day, only one this week and the tour narration was simply perfect! The tour captured the essence of its theme, the peaceful coexistence of many religions in this little town and drew attention to the great architectural buildings of early times.

I booked this tour for myself, my husband and our 3 year old son who loves vehicles (thinking the trolley itself would be novel and fun). The tour left much to be desired, we did not get off the trolley or have any opportunities to take pictures, etc.
Our tour guide did not seem well rehearsed or confident. It was not interactive (tour guide asked us to remain quiet the whole time) and definitely not of interest to our kid. I don’t expect every activity to be, but it is marketed as kid-friendly. Also it was clear that the other your goers were unhappy with my son being present, even though he was well-behaved and quiet.
Our guide shared some personal anecdotes and repeated them each a few times when he clearly was uncomfortable and had nothing else to say. It was a foggy day and he complained about it multiple times even though we could see a reasonable amount.
Finally, there is no public restroom at the bus station but having read multiple reviews in advance that referenced breaks during the tour I was not worried. I ended up really needing one and we did not make any stops, returned 10 min late and then I had to leave the premises to find one.

Great tour! The guide was very informative and the views and sites were spectacular. Highly recommend. It was great to be able to leave the driving to someone else.

The mansions were unbelievable! Jim, our tour guide, was very informative and personable!! We learned so much about the history of Newport! I would recommend this tour to EVERYONE! It was absolutely breathtaking!
