The tour was ok and we got to see many frogs at the end. The walk was a hike down the hill with traversing of some down trees. We mostly saw spiders and bugs along the trail, but the frog habitat and lighting bugs at the end were cool. The trip would have been just as good if we just did the last 5 percent of the hike.

We really enjoyed our Night Walk with our guide Kia! We arrived at the park and were given coffee and flashlights. After our quick coffee break we were driven up to the top of the trail just as the sun set. We started off on our walk and with Kia’s super vision we saw so many interesting creatures. If it moved Kia saw it. Even if it didn’t move he saw it. We saw a hummingbird nest, hog nosed viper, bull frog, red eyed tree frog, tarantula, wandering spider, a night gecko, a little bird asleep in a hole, millipede and a magical field of fireflies, and there were more creatures that I can’t remember their names. It was not a difficult walk and Kia made sure we were all safe. I would definitely recommend this tour to see the forest from a different perspective!

Guide was very knowledgeable, about the area as well as the creatures around us. Saw three varieties of snakes with several sightings of each. Sloth with baby was the highlight. Nice downhill walk - well done.

We had a great time, the pond area was the best but we were able to see other wildlife throughout the trail. It was mostly reptiles, amphibians and some insects for us.

We were meant to meet at 17:30 the guides were late. They split everyone into two groups The other group finished the whole trail As our group spent 50 minutes talking about frogs and we didn’t even walk half of it, then then when the other group passed us we followed them and got told that was the end. It said it was 2 hours 30minutes I was back at the hotel by 19:10 The guide was informative but I felt very rushed and wasn’t shown the whole trial I’m sure there’s better company’s out there for a night tour

Great tour! The guides work hard to find the creatures of the night. We saw snakes, spiders, including a tarantula and many interesting species of frogs. The sounds of the forest at night are incredible. A must do tour!

The night tour was about 2-hour hike in the Arenal volcano area. The guide was very nice and professional. There weren’t too many animals to be seen.

This was a little tough to review because my main displeasure with the night walk wasn't the tour itself but their policy of allowing young children to be on it. When we arrived at the meeting point we were told we would be split up into small groups of about 10 people each. Maybe it was pure luck or because I had my 9 and 12 year old kids with me but they paired us up with a couple who brought their ~1.5 year old (strapped in a carrier), ~5 year old and ~7 year old. Throughout the entire walk there was never a time that at least one of the kids wasn't yelling or complaining aloud which was distracting and made it difficult to hear the guide. The parents even admitted that they probably made a mistake in signing up for the walk. Maybe the company can restrict having really young kids join the group tour and push them to a private tour instead. The guide was highly knowledgeable and personable and if we didn't have the challenge stated above, I would have rated the walk a 4 out of 5 due to the limited number of things actually seen during the walk. Other notes: it gets very buggy from all the insects flying around. That may be a problem for some people and take away from their enjoyment.

Our night walk was fantastic and our guide Brandon truly outstanding. We saw 4 different kinds of snakes, many different frogs, spiders, click beetles, cicadas and other animals. Brandon knew so many interesting facts about Costa Rica and the animals. Wonderful experience, would do again
