Fantastic day tour from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. Good mix of activities and sightseeing. Highlight was scootering around town and through the rice fields with the mountains in the backdrop. So much fun and so picturesque! The boat tour contains stunning scenery. Danny is an excellent guide, both informative and entertaining. He did a great job keeping us on schedule. Communication before and during the trip was perfect. This one is NOT to be missed!!!

Went on three tours with Hanoi Back Street Tours - food tour in Hanoi, Jeep tour in Hanoi and day trip to Ninh Bihn. Booked all three from UK direct with them using email address on their website.
They offered payment at booking or on the day and we took the latter option. They were very efficient with booking emails etc and we got a Whatsapp the night before each tour from the guide for that tour confirming pick up details.
Each of three tours went exactly to plan and all were great tours. Given separate reviews on each.
For the Nimh Binh day tour there was a pick up from our hotel by our tour guide Brian, a 2 1/2 hour minibus trip (including break for coffee etc) and then in Nimh Binh we had
- a 30 minute hike up to the temple (it was 34 degrees and humid so bring along a change of shirt because everyone was dripping by the end) where the views are very good
- Lunch at local homestay where they had a swimming pool we could use to cool off
- 1 & 1/2 hours on back of mopeds running around the back roads
- cave temple visit
- 2 hours on small oar driven boat through countryside to some great caves
- return to hotel
Great trip and good value: did a lot in one day

Done the trip today, best thing we've done in Vietnam so far... The views are amazing and our guide was very friendly and informative. Our driver was also very competent and friendly. Worth every penny.
