Thierry chauffeured my wife and I from HÔTEL D’ARGOUGES in Bayeux to Omaha beach. The weather was cool but he came equipped with Gore-Tex lined gloves, fleece under layers, and nylon windbreakers to make the ride very comfortable. Additionally, he had new LS2 helmets with clean, soft and supportive padding and easy to use ratchet-style chinstraps. The helmets also had flip-down sun visors/windshields. The motorcycle, a Kawasaki 650cc, was specially geared with a reverse gear and 4 speed transmission with plenty of torque. Starting, stopping, and turning was always comfortable and safe. The sidecar has a trunk and both it and the passenger seat have their own suspensions to make even bumpy roads feel smooth. The sidecar has its own disc brake. Thierry keeps a very well maintained and very clean motorcycle. Everything on the bike was in top condition. The sidecar was spacious, and although I’m only 5’10” I easily had another 5 inches of leg room in front of me. Also, the tonneau cover for the sidecar, when pulled forward to reveal the seat, functions as a leg blanket. It was about 50 degrees on our day, but I would have been plenty warm even if it was much colder. The best part of the trip was Thierry. He is well-versed in the region’s history as well as Operation Overlord and WW 2 in general. He was courteous, thoughtful, and a gentleman throughout. Thierry was also a patient listener, eager to hear of our own experiences but never nosey or pushy. We saw the beaches, artillery and mortar bunkers, the floating bridges, the U.S. cemetery for fallen soldiers, sailors, and airmen, and many spots that our generation will recognize from Hollywood productions. To see them in person is humbling and breathtaking. Thierry expertly narrated the stories behind these historically significant places, as well as the history of the region itself. He took different routes there and back, so we were able to take in everything ranging from cows lounging in the countryside to castles to suburban towns. Thierry is a safe and expert rider who took zero risks and navigated around road closures and construction with zero confusion or hesitation. He was happy to take photos of us anywhere we asked. His English is fluent and he speaks better than many native speakers. You will feel like somewhat of a celebrity as whenever we left the bike to walk the sights we returned to people taking photos of the bike or themselves with the bike. It really is a show-stopper. For the price, you will not find a more incredible experience. To whizz through the towns and countryside on a motorcycle/sidecar and see such history with a person who treated us like family is something to envy and the experience of a lifetime. I received zero compensation for this review and am writing it as I take a train to Paris; it was that important to me that I share this feedback with my fellow travelers in hopes that you consider this experience. I believe the sidecar would be appropriate for any age traveler, and this certainly beats a tour bus or transit van.

This was our favorite experience of our anniversary trip to France! Manuel was full of interesting lesser known WWII stories about what we were seeing, he was professional and polite, and gave us a fantastic ride through the countryside. The ride was safe yet adventurous. We could not have asked for a better way to experience and learn about the DDay sites. Thank you Manuel for making this day the best it could be!

This was an absolutely amazing day! Thierry and Manuel provided exceptional care for us. The history and stories they shared and the genuine concern they showed to ensure an unforgettable experience exceeded my expectations. I cannot stress enough how much you should not miss this opportunity! It truly was one of the best days. It was both exhilarating and deeply moving, creating a unique and unforgettable experience. There is no better way to explore Normandy and its historical sites than this. We brought my Dad (82) and Aunt (78), and they absolutely loved riding in the sidecars. Thierry and Manuel were incredibly helpful and attentive, looking out for every possible scenario making this day even more special for us. Thanks guys! We’ll see you on our next trip!

The combination of adventure, history, and the stunning landscapes of Normandy made this experience unforgettable. Manuel and Thierry's expertise and care greatly enhanced our journey, making it both educational and exciting for the whole family. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique way to explore the pivotal moments of World War II.

What an amazing adventure for my husband, two boys (10 and 12) and me. Manuel and Thierry were fantastic guides— extremely knowledgeable and funny to boot. Riding through the French countryside on a motorcycle with side car was a once-in-a-life-time experience. When you have some many choices, doing something out of the ordinary and exhilarating as this was beyond our expectations. We’re all still grinning!

Experiencing the Normandy historic sites on motorcycles was an epic experience. Manuel and Thierry are fantastic guides, very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun.
