Northern Lights Tour with Hot Food and Drinks in Tromso

We did our northern lights tour yesterday with Marius, and I can say it was the best thing we did. Marius is an excellent guide but above that, he is an awesome person and we had so much fun with him and our group. He drove us to the right spot to see the northern lights and we really couldn’t ask for anything better! Marius provided us with warm suits, nice food, hot chocolate, coffee, snacks, a bonfire and good talk. Needless to say, Marius took the best pictures of us under the lights. I am very glad our paths crossed and that it was with Marius that our one-in-a-life-time experience of seeing the Northern Lights happened. Thank you Marius for the great time and in our next time in Tromsø, you will be the first person we will contact!

At first I need to say Marius is the best and funniest guy I ever met. He made the tour so perfect and made the whole time sure, that we have the best experience. He knows the best places and also change the plans spontaneously to get to the best place to see the northern lights. Marius is a very good photograph. He explains everything and made the tour so funny and perfect. Marius was so prepared, he took so many chocolate, cookies and even hot chocolate, coffe and tee. The food and the bonfire was amazing. We enjoyed the whole experience and the extra overalls that Marius took helped us a lot. He brought even some feed heather! Don’t think twice and book the tour with Marius! It’s a one in a life time experience and with Marius as your guide you get even more! 100% the best guide. Looking forward to do it again in a couple of years! Thanks again for the great time Marius!

We decided to book with Marius because he has 5/5 stars, and we would give him more than 5 if it was possible. He's un incredible guide, he really want you to have the best experience ever and he makes you feel the love he has for his job. Just an AMAZING experience. If we come back to Tromsø, we will choose to book with Marius again.

Maurice was a super helpful guy with lots of patience. Took some fab photos for us all and really went out of his way to make sure we got a great tour finding the northern lights. Definitely recommend 👌

The tour was fantastic. Yes, we have seen northern lights and this probably has influenced our rating. Marius, the guide, was passionately leading our tour and showed great locations, took fantastic pictures of us plus the scenario including northern lights. Without Marius tour we might have seen a glimpse of northern lights only - if any, but not what he showed us during the 7hrs which we were together. I highly recommend snow-travels, thanks for guiding us!

Marius was fantastic. The tour was perfect. Of course it may be possible to not see the northern lights if the conditions are not right, but Marius does everything possible to give everyone an amazing experience. Someone in our group fell ill and Marius took them back to Tromso whilst leaving us somewhere nice to take pictures while we waited for him to return. He was always looking out for the lights and stopped in a few contrasting and wonderful places so we could get a nice variety of photos. The campfire, food and drink was also a wonderful experience. We had a hot drink and hot dog (which you get to cook yourself on a skewer over the fire) to start, expedition dried meal for the main (which was delicious) which is lovely and hot when made up with boiling water, and then toasted marshmallow for desert! Overall an amazing experience that I would highly recommend.

Highly recommend snow travels (Marius) to choose as your travel guide if you are on of the people looking for a mesmerising experience of magical Northern lights. Marius’s knowledge of the area and his efforts to ensure the comfortable experience for the group is on spot. We traveled as group of friends and were amazed with the views we got on this expedition.

This has to be one of the most fabulous and breathtaking tours we have been on - we found Snow Travels via their website and we are SO glad we did - Marius is the most amazing tour guide with such a fantastic knowledge of the area - he has really thought about what visitors need for the perfect evening and he does not disappoint. My family will never forget the evening spent searching for the Northern lights. We benefitted from a small group size (other groups we saw were much bigger) and a real all round good guy with our satisfaction at the heart of his tour. We stopped in lots of locations and changed the plan as the lights appeared in different places. Later we stopped to build a campfire and we sat round cooking our food over the fire and drinking hot drinks as the lights danced above us. We were NEVER rushed and we had the most perfect time. Warm suits are provided but make sure you layer up and wear sensible warm shoes. Marius provides foot warmers to help but if you are not prepared for the cold you won’t benefit from the most amazing experience. Marius has so much experience in this area that it’s not surprising that everyone on our tour left buzzing from the time we had. Our bus was clean and well maintained unlike some others we saw and driven safely We would not hesitate to recommend the independent tour guide Marius (Snow Travels) as it really is the best decision we made during our stay in Tromso Even if you aren’t as lucky as we were to see the lights you will still have the most amazing time - although Marius is so excited to share the experience with you that his determination to make his customers happy will lead you to many remote place in his search.
