We started the tour by directly taking the Dehli metro/subway. That was already super exciting. We visited then a Sikh, Hindu and Jain temple. Very interesting. Then we headed with a rickshaw and Tuktuk to the different markets in Old Dehli. My favorite one was the spice market! Thank you Kavita for her amazing tour. She gave us a lot of interesting explanations and insights about the different places we visited. I totally recommend this tour to see a very exciting side of Old Dehli.

Going inside the temples and watching the peopme worship is INCREDIBLE, I learned about the Jade and Sicht religions more in this trip than I ever knew. The markets were great, we saw different types of markets, went through narrow streets, saw tons of spices, jewelry stores etc, and in every moment we felt 100% safe. We are two women travelers. The guides are constantly hidrating us, explining everything and making sure we do not get run over by traffic, :). Both of our guides are from the Slums and have been taught english through the NGO that runs this Tour.

This tour was very interesting and informative. Something to be aware of is that the tour takes you through several wholesale markets, but none of them are places for purchasing souvenirs. Rather, this tour could be seen more like a snapshot of real life as experienced by locals. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of each of the locations he took us. Also, I felt quite safe traveling as a single woman on this tour.

The quintessential tour of Old Delhi. We specifically sought after a reputable NGO to guide us through Old Delhi and chose Reality Tours on its reputation and merit. It more than lived up to expectations. Our guide Sagar was the consummate professional, he was jovial, affable and knowledgeable. We booked the morning tour (10:00 to 13:00) bearing in mind the summer heat. It was truly a wonderful and eye-opening experience. We learnt a multitude of cultural quirks and insights, a whole array of feasts for the senses. From the endearing yet chaotic spice market to the educational trip to the Gurudwara. The entire tour was fluid and easy going, considering the mayhem usually associated with this part of central Delhi. A credit to the NGO.

Sourav gave me fabulous tour of the temples. Ventured into many where customs were explained. Down old alleyways and shortcuts to see areas tourists seldom venture. Amazing experience.

This was an amazing tour. Stanley was very informative and attentive as we walked through the winding, narrow streets of the market area. I was amazed seeing the spice market in action. Tasting the delicious tea from a street vendor was an absolute treat.
We toured a temple that was a truly unique experience. We also took the metro and a couple of bicycle rickshaw rides. It was a very memorable evening. I highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely loved the quality, guide’s (Sagar) knowledge and rustic experience provided in this tour of Old Delhi. We started off using the Metro and arrived right in the heart of old Delhi where we explored the spices, Electronics, fruits and street food markets - a brilliant experience for a first timer in areas one usually wouldn’t go to alone! Of course seeing the Red Fort, Jama Masjid was a blast into the rich history of the city. The Gurudwara (Sikh temple) was a very nice and serene touch to end the tour with. The guides are well-mannered, fluent in English (have taken a Reality Tour in the Dharavi Slums in Mumbai as well which was fantastic) and 80% of the tour proceeds are given to a Reality-run NGO that educates the underprivileged in English and essential skill training for employment. Would highly recommend Reality tours to anyone, foreign or Indians looking to explore the cultural delights India has to offer.
