You only need to purchase one ticket for a group of up to 6.
The city is literally your game board. Search for real-world clues and solve puzzles, then enter solutions on the app to find out where to go next. The game consists of a physical box and clues you must find in the real world, all around SOMA-Embarcadero. Plan on about two hours of play time, depending on experience level and how much time you spend exploring along the way.
You're just on the verge of completing your revolutionary anti-earthquake device...when you feel a tremor. Fate is in your hands and you must work as quickly as possible. The games, puzzles and riddles were just the right amount of fun vs. challenging. We actually saw some new sights in San Francisco. Although, we went on a Sunday morning, and there weren't many tourists or business people in the Financial District, so "be aware" of homeless approaching your group and pan-handling. "Best to go during busier times", but the experience itself was quite fun, and I'd recommend it.

We are from the area, but enjoyed being able to walk around the areas we normally drive by. It's great that many of the locations had in-app information about the local landmarks as well. The puzzles in the box were not too difficult and great hints were available if needed. My only disappointment is that I cannot play the box again.
The locations where the box took us to were also great. I think it would be helpful for future if there was a vague start and end location. So situating parking would be easier.
