The overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa is one of the most popular experiences which tourists often seek for when planning a trip to this mountainous destination. Trains operate between Hanoi and Lao Cai Train Station (about 35 km from Sapa). Train will leaves Hanoi Railway Station at 10pm each day and they take from 7.5 to 8 hours to reach Lao Cai Train Station.

train partant de Ha noi à 22.00 pour arriver à Lao Cai vers 6.00 ( suivi d'une petite heure en voiture pour rejoindre Sa pa)
Le guide nous explique que ce train est un TGV ( train à grandes vibrations ...). C'est vrai que ça bouge mais c'est anecdotique.
Nous avions réservé un compartiment uniquement pour nous deux.
bonne couchette / couette bien chaude / liseuse individuelle
Une demi heure avant d'arriver à Lao cai, nous sommes réveillés pour pouvoir boire le café ou le thé que nous avions commandés la veille au soir ( payant mais prix insignifiant .
Finalement , nous avons plutôt bien dormi et ce fut un bon moment dans notre voyage
