Day 1: Cairo - Bahariya - White Desert (L, D)
Stop At: Bahariya Oasis Guide, Bawiti Egypt
Begin with pickup from your hotel in Cairo Or Giza and board the sharing bus / Car to Bahariya Oasis.
After a 4-hour journey, arrive and enjoy lunch at a local Bahariya restaurant. Then, transfer to a 4x4 sharing other tourists with a local Bedouin driver at the wheel, and explore the village of Bawiti, Bahriya’s capital, taking in the lush palm groves set against the immense dunes.
Climb ‘English Mountain’ to view the hilltop remains of a British World War I outpost. See the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain.
Drive through the huge, rounded rocks of the Agabat Valley, and head into the White Desert National Park, a region of spectacular, brilliant-white rock formations eroded by wind into spires, mushrooms, animals, and other bizarre shapes.
Admire the ghostly shapes, and then overnight camp. Enjoy a desert sunset and barbecue dinner under the stars before snuggling into your sleeping bag on mattresses in your tent.

Day 2: White Desert - Bahariya - Cairo
Stop At: White Desert, Egypt started, Farafra Egypt
Absorb the desert silence during breakfast before riding your 4x4 back to Bahariya, then you will use the sharing bus / car again to return to Cairo, upon arrival at the bus station, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Cairo or Giza and end of services

This experience was amazing ! We spent a good time during our White Desert trip! Our host Ibrahim is really kind. He took his time to explain and describe us the environment. He's really friendly and speaks easily French too. Meals were really smooth, the chief meals is really good ! We recommended a lot this experience 🙂

This was such an amazing experience that I would recommend to anybody visiting Egypt, our tour guide was Asam who was amazing, very kind and clearly enjoyed and had a passion for his job. The views are amazing and Asam knew all the best spots for the best pictures!! Our camp was very cosy and the view of the stars at night when your in the middle of the desert is truly something you need to experience for yourself!!!

Great trip! Our drivers didn't interact with us much, but they were always friendly and attentive. The tour guides had everything that made the trip comfortable, relaxing and fun. I would definitely recommend the budget tour if you are by yourself and you don't want to pay for a whole private tour. The groups were small enough (my group only had 6 total) that it never felt like we were getting herded like cattle. 2 days is a perfect amount of time to enjoy the desert, see the stars at night, and watch the sunrise/sunset!

It is amazing! Very good arrangement, and the guide taking good care of us. We enjoy every sight-seeing, and the sand boarding was fun! Also the dinner was awesome! We had a good time in this camping!

This was a great trip! The drive from Cairo to Bahariya was a bit long but well worth it. The Black Desert was very cool as was Crystal Mountain. We went sand boarding which is really sledding on sand. The night camping in the white desert was great. The rock formations were really cool. Our Bedouin driver/guide cooked up a very good dinner. He also had a very nice camp setup. 5 stars all the way.

On the upside the White Desert is well worth seeing and the food provided was good.
On the downside 4 hours drive in an old small car with no air conditioning breathing dust and air pollution to get to the 4x4 cars (which where old and also had no air conditioning). Then another 2 hours to get to the White desert. Unless you where in a lead vehicle you will be eating dirt from the car ahead (due to windows up because of no car air conditioning). The cook / driver chain smoked.

It's a place where you can't go alone, so I participated in the tour this time, but I'm satisfied because I was able to enjoy the fantastic scenery.

Did not expect how stunning this tour would be, it was the perfect adventure and a break from busy Cairo and regular tourist activities. Definitely original and the scenery is incredible. Amir greeted us at the Oasis and then Mahmoud was our driver and guide for the rest of the trip. Very friendly and accomodating. I won't spoil everything included in the tour but there are some surprises and it's a brilliant experience, definetely my highlight of my time in Egypt! Could not reccomend more.

My husband and I came to Egypt for our honeymoon and thought we absolutely had to camp in the desert as part of an authentic experience. We visited many beautiful sections of the desert like crystal mountain, black and white dessert. We had fun sandsurfing. The most memorable part was the camping under the beautiful stars and having delicious food cooked by our guides. It was also fun getting to know other travellers through this experience. We would recommend this tour to others but make sure to dress warmly in December.
