Salvo’s tour was excellent. Very informative on many aspects of life in Palermo especially the working class street food and the city. There are some alternatives for those with a less adventurous palate.

Wonderful fun way to enjoy the city through our walk in the markets, to hear about life in Palermo and in Sicily from our excellent guide Val, and to see and taste & drink, all through the taverna, little cafe bars & market stops. A great Palermo experience! We were full of delicious foods - and the final stop for amazing gelato at Lakala was my favourite !
Val was amusing, engaging and very insightful. She brought us to special stalls with very kind people, and it was obvious she was enjoying us as much as our group enjoyed her. Thank you Val for a memorable tour!

Fantastic tour, our guide Salvo was informative and very engaging. We had great fun and learned lots. I will definitely look for a Streaty Food Tour when visiting other Italian city's.

The walking tour is more than worth the price! The guide was exceptional. Tour was 3.5 hours and you learn quite a bit of history in addition to the street food and also get a feel for the area. Highly recommended!!

Federica was kind enough to customize the tour for one of our group who could not walk long distances. We ate great street food that we would not have tried and along the way learned about the history, culture and geography of Palermo. Plus Federica gave us local tips on other places to visit and where to get the best food souvenirs. It was an experience we won’t forget!

Claudio was our guide for the street tour of Palermo. He was very well-organised, each stop was interesting and there was something to eat as we arrived. I'm a picky eater but I found a lot to like - delicious arancini balls, interesting focaccia-style pizza, wasn't brave enough to try the local favourite - spleen sandwich. The spots Claudio chose to stop were all lively and provided an interesting take on Palermo's street markets, restaurants and bars. He interwove the narrative of the food with fascinating facts and history of the city. He was also very patient with the odd stragglers in our group.
