Stop At: Panama Marine Adventures, Flamenco Marina, Amador Causeway, Panama City 0812 Panama

Our check in point is at Flamenco Marina, located on the last island of the Amador Causeway. It is right next to the Panama sign and behind the Duty Free Shop.

Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Centennial Bridge, Pan-American Highway, Panama City Panama

Panama's Centennial Bridge is a major bridge crossing the Panama Canal. It was built to supplement the overcrowded Bridge of the Americas and to replace it as the carrier of the Pan-American Highway. Upon its opening in 2004, it became the second permanent crossing of the canal.

Pass By: Panama Canal, Panama City Panama

Our tour starts at the Flamenco Resort and Marina. Passengers board motor coaches for a 45-minute ride to the town of Gamboa where the Panama Canal Dredging Division is located. Once in Gamboa, passengers board the Pacific Queen to start the water portion of the tour. The Panama Canal partial transit tour begins at the north end of the Gailard cut, where the Chagres River flows into the canal. The Gaillard Cut (also known as Culebra Cut because its curves resemble a snake) is one of the main points of interest for visitors because it was carved through the Continental Divide and this section of the Canal is full of history and geological value. The Pacific Queen will travel the Cut's 13.7 kilometers on the way to Pedro Miguel Locks. As you transit the Cut you will be able to appreciate the continuous maintenance that this area requires, because it is very susceptible to landslides.

Before reaching the Pedro Miguel Locks at the southern end of the Cut, you will be able to view the Centennial Bridge which crosses over the Canal. Next, the Pacific Queen will enter Pedro Miguel Locks, which is one of the two sets of locks on the Pacific side, and here the vessel is lowered 9 meters in one step. You will then enter Miraflores Lake, which is a small artificial body of fresh water that separates Pedro Miguel from Miraflores Locks, the latter being the final set of locks before reaching the Pacific Ocean. At Miraflores Locks the vessel is lowered 18 meters in two distinct steps.

Once in the Pacific Ocean the vessel will sail to the beautiful Flamenco Marina where passengers disembark. On the way to Flamenco, you will pass under the Bridge of the Americas, and later, you will be able to admire the Bay of Panama and Panama City's splendorous skyline.

Pass By: Bridge of the Americas, Balboa, Panama City Panama

The Bridge of the Americas is a road bridge in Panama, which spans the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Designed by Sverdrup & Parcel, it was completed in 1962 at a cost of US$20 million, connecting the north and south American land masses.

Highly recommended, everything about this tour was spectacular, well organized from beginning to end. The staff was amazing, customer service was superb. The food was good , the guide narrator did a great job in English and Español. The highly of the tour was the Panama Canal, we felt so honored to be able to experience the passage from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Excellent job Viator!!!

We enjoyed going through the locks. Great views which ever way we looked. Good commentary giving us lots of information and answering our questions. We were picked up on time and driven to the boat. Staff were very supportive and helpful. We were a bit disappointed no tea or coffee available as had been advertised. We would liked to have been with the tour 1 .1/2 hours longer.

Some friends went and some of us could not because of getting sick. But what upsets me is that they were not to put a charge on the credit card until day of trip. It was put on my friends credit card 2 days prior to the trip and then they would not give her a refund when we tried canceling that morning. The ones that went said they were not given any tickets when arriving to take tour. There was noone around, just told to get on boat. They liked the tour, but why was my friend charged before she was supposed to be? That's very sad that a company would take advantage of people like that. So when signing for these tours be very careful because we had to pay $150 for not going. 😪👿

On time pick up and then in van for a while to get to dock. Guide was great at answering individual questions, friendly and knowledgable. However, one had to stand in a certain part of the boat to hear him as only place there were speakers. It is a scramble and elbowing to get to the small front of the boat section to see the locks. Our driver for return was not with all the others but on other side of a building.

I would have preferred individual audio. The boat was noisy and i could barely hear the person guiding the experience

The boat had four levels and was very comfortable. The views were amazing and going through the locks with other boats was super cool. The guide was so informative and answered questions as well. The lunch was surprisingly very good.

Seeing the boat lowered and the gates opening and how they kept all the vessels parallel when not moving was fascinating. But the guide on board was not speaking loud enough to take in what he was saying all the time.

A fabulous experience all around. I do recommend this tour. Loved everything...hotel pick up and drop off, the boat cruise on the Panama Canal and through the Locks, the lunch was delicious, the tour guide (Edwin if I am correct) was amazing, he gave us tons of interesting information and history about Panama Canal. All the staff were nice, friendly, and helpful. I was stung by a wasp on deck and they helped me instantly, thank you very much for the medical attention, I appreciated it. The boat had outside decks and an air-conditioned inside. Places to sit everywhere and enjoyed the breathtaking sights. Additional snacks and drinks to purchase at a good price. A wonderful bonus was that they supplied water to drink and had six bathrooms! Excellent day, thank you!

Great tour! Food was amazing and enough space for everybody on the ferry! The guide explaining in both English and Spanish makes it really convenient to whoever takes the tour. There is also beer and extra chips you can pay for if you want to.

The canal was interesting, the boat comfortable and the food was good. I give my reviews only 3 stars because the picked us up at 9:00 am and by 10:00 am we were already at the boat and we had to wait until noon to depart. We ended up waiting another 2 extra hours for a big ship to reach the locks so we could pass but that's not the tour's company fault. What was supposed to be a 6 hours tour ended up being a 10 1/2 house tour.
