The Paragliding Medellin Tour, takes place 7,000 feet above sea level.
We will be going towards the west of Medellin to a rural area looking for the perfect altitude.
Our flights usually take around 15 minutes. However, this can vary depending on weather conditions.

You will be flying over one of the best contrasts: hundreds of dairy farms as well as skyscrappers in the bottom of the valley.
At all times you will be safe knowing that your licensed pilot is right there with you.
Who Are The Pilots In Our Paragliding Medellin Tour?
At Medellin Day Trips we only hire local experienced pilots. Some of them started to work on this since they were 10 years old.
They are all farmers' children that chose this profession instead of the rural duties.
So by taking this tour you are also supporting them.

We Accompany You Throughout The Whole Process:
• Pick you up at the hotel and take you there.
• Help you with the sign-up process and the insurance registration.
• Keep your belongings safe while you are flying.
• Translate all the instructions the pilot gives you.
• Drive you back to your hotel after the flight.NOTICE:
Paragliding is a very weather dependent activity, so we are constantly adjusting dates, pickup times or straight out canceling the program if there is rain or strong winds.

10/10 we had the best experience on this paragliding. Everything was organized perfectly: great communication and updates through WhatsApp. Our tour guide Laura picked us up at the hotel and explained us the whole process while driving up the hill where we took off. While driving she also gave a lot of information and personal insights about the city. Once arrived, check-in and signing insurance papers was quick and before we knew, my son and me were strapped in and up in the air. That was an incredible adrenaline rush even though it felt totally safe. They also took care of making a go-pro video and pictures with their camera and selfie-stick that they then uploaded to my phone after we landed. Thanks and compliments to our guide Laura who then dropped us off at the hotel.

Highly recommend to book with this tour company as it was such a pleasant experience. From the day of booking, Andres from MedellinDayTrips confirmed via WhatsApp and explained everything about the tour and all information regarding the paragliding. This kind of event is very weather dependent. So on our schedule time/day - the weather was so/so, not perfect for paragliding but he was flexible with adjusting the time to wait out for better weather. Thanks for this.. As we had only 3 days in Medellin to paraglide.
On the tour we got a ride to the paraglide start area accompanied with nice conversations from Andres.
The paragliding area itself is busy with other tour companies as well.. but what stood out most for me with MedellinDayTrips is the well organised transportation, the communication, and kindness of Andres.
So overall - I recommend to book through him!
I had a blast in the air & got great on land videos plus GoPro footage in the air to remember the memory!

We had an amazing experience paragliding. Andres texted us the day before to coordinate our pick up time. Luckily we were able to be flexible and move the time up an hour and a half to avoid the rain. Our driver Juan Zea arrived promptly and was waiting for us outside the morning of our trip. His car was very nice and clean. He was charming and spoke perfect English. We chatted the whole car ride which was approximately 55 minutes. He told us about the neighborhoods we were driving through and gave us ideas for other activities we should do in Medellín and Colombia. When we arrived in San Feliz he accompanied us up the stairs and helped us get checked in and communicate with the pilots. They gave us time to use the bathroom one more time before flying (the bathroom cost 1000 pesos). We were strapped in and in the air within 20 minutes of arriving. It was exhilarating! The views of the city were incredible. They provide go pro footage the entire time and the quality of the photos were really good. The pilot told me to move the go pro around to get different angles. You are in the air for approximately 20 minutes. The entire time I felt safe. They were very efficient and had excellent communication. I wish we would have gone sooner in our trip because today was our last day. If we had more time I would have gone again.

This was an amazing experience. Everything about the experience was perfection. This was my first attempt at paragliding and I certainly picked the right company. Daniel the guide was awesome, he was friendly, personable and just really wonderful to work with and the pilot was amazing. I had a great time and this was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Medellin ! I would highly recommend working with this company.

I booked this excursion for my husband's birthday. From the great communication prior to the excursion, to our very friendly and knowledgeable guide and driver Erika, and finally the very experienced and pleasant pilot, everything was wonderful! We initially weren't sure if we would be able to go forward with parasailing given the weather. But Medellin Day Trips kept us updated on the weather until we had success. My husband had a wonderful time and absolutely loved the experience. We have lots of pictures and video from the GoPro which is an added bonus. I would recommend, not only this excursion, but also this company.
