The catacombs are amazing! So much history. It’s so beautiful and intriguing, my children loved every minute. My only complaint; The kids tickets didn’t come with the audio guide so my husband and gave them ours and when without. Which was fine because then our kids got to tell us about it as they learned. A must do in Paris! Other reviewers had complained the tickets were difficult to acquire, I disagree. Viator sent a message 24 hrs in advance with QR codes, we arrived 2 minutes late and had no line at all. Everything was perfect.

My family in France went as I had booked it for the wrong date, they had a great time! Also, Viator’s representatives were extremely helpful to ensure I was able to have my tickets transferred to my family in France so it did not go to waste. Thanks Natasha and others for your help!!

Learned about the history of the tunnels as well as the catacombs. Be prepared for a long spiral staircase at the entrance and the exit. The audio guide included with the tour was great.

The catacombs is a really unique experience that I highly recommend for adults. I think children would find it scary and seniors could have trouble with the stairs and walking. I’m glad we did the audio tour because it provided a lot of historical details. Also, I appreciated getting to skip the line because it was raining outside and saved us at least half a hour. Getting the QR code for the tickets was difficult but the staff were able to assist.

The subject matter of this tour/event was incredibly interesting and worth the time to explore. I didn't find the people working there to be very friendly/helpful. I bought 4 tickets for my family. Apparently the kids tickets didn't include the Audio guide for some reason, and I would have had to spend 5 euros a piece extra to get them that. You also have to descend and ascend 100 steps on a twisting staircase, so be sure you can handle that physically before you buy these tickets. Once we were inside exploring, it was a very unique experience and worth it.

The tour was great! I have been to other catacombs in other locations, so I hesitated to book another one. However the Paris location is unique and I am glad I went. I did however have issue getting the link to the scanner code. They WILL NOT under any circumstances let you in without it-even with proof of purchase receipts. I have never had issue purchasing from Tripadvisor before. I fault the Tongitours vendor. First of all they wait until right before the trip date to give it to you. It is not that easy to deal with issues traveling internationally, I would have preferred to get these codes at home before I left. The link would just circle back to my original email receipt which did not have the scan code. I could not reach anyone for help-literally 5 min before the tour started I was able to make it work. Very obscure and unnecessarily cumbersome process. So- take the tour! Use a different vendor.

Amazing visit for my husband Definitely one to go to. The price is great. I recommend booking tickets well in advance which is what I did for my husband. Booked a skip the line audio tour. We were in Paris for a few days. It was easy to book an Uber taxi that cost €15 from Hotel Elysees Union by the Arc de Triumphe. 30 minutes away. There is a metro station round the corner from the Catacoombs and bus stops opposite. Unfortunately I couldn't enter the Catacoombs as there is no disabled access. If you just turn up the tickets will be sold put at least a week in advance. The exit is about a ten minute walk back. There are no facilities at the Catacoombs so I went across the road to an amazing cafe called Rendez Vous to wait for my husband who was about an hour in the Catacoombs. Wow they sell amazing chocolad chaud!!
