The Capitol Galleries are considered one of the best collections of Ancient Art in the world and they contain unique masterpieces. You will get familiar with the bronze She-Wolf statue, symbol of Rome, the portait of Emperor Constantine, the Boy with Thorn, the bust of Poet Homer, Hercules, Venus and many others. You will learn how the Ancient Romans used to play, see a real tomb of a gladiator, decipher the ancient calendars and more. You will also come face to face with almost all the main characters of Percy’s adventures: monsters like the one-eyed Polyphemus, the scary Medusa, the almighty Jupiter, Athena and Ares.

Dontano was our amazing tour guide on the Percy Jackson and Ancient Myths Tour at the Capitoline Museums. He did a great job of engaging our tween girls, entertaining, and most importantly educating us all on the amazing artifacts inside the museum. The tour was well paced and Donato was happy to answer all of our questions. This tour greatly exceeded our expectations and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

My kids are huge PJ fans and they really enjoyed this tour. It’s geared a little toward kids under 10-11, but my teen even liked it. It was also a great way for the adults to see this museum without dragging our kids through it. The scavenger hunt was fun, especially for the 10 yo, who really enjoyed beating her parents (who had not read the books). Simone was very knowledgeable about the art and archaeology we were seeing and able to answer even non-PJ questions. Highly recommend!

Donato gave us a Percy Jackson-themed tour of the Capitoline Museums and it was our favorite tour in Rome! He engaged all four of my kids (ranging in age from 6 to 14) so well and each kid said they wished we’d had more time touring sites with him. He is so knowledgeable and keeps everything interesting! Truly a highlight!

These tours are fabulous for families! I cannot recommend them enough. Donato was our guide for two days of tours (Percy Jackson tour and Vatican tour). My son is 11-years-old and has autism. He had never been on a guided tour before in a museum, so I wasn't sure how it was going to go. Donato was amazing with him. He kept him engaged the entire time, so I could enjoy myself too. My son could have spent hours talking about Roman and Greek Gods, and Donato was incredibly patient and interactive with him. My son said the only thing he would have changed about our trip to Rome was to have Donato as our guide for all activities. I agreed. :)

Our kids loved the scavenger hunt! Searching for the many clues in the Capitoline Museum with our guide Donato was fun, entertaining and informative for the whole family. Additionally the view of the Roman Forum from the balcony of the museum was incredible. An amazing experience for our family, and one we won’t soon forget!

The Percy Jackson tour was perfect for our son (7) and also for our young daughter (4). Our guide was engaging with the kids the entire time and very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and incorporating it with Roman mythology. It was a unique tour which our kids loved.
