With our Pizza Making and Gelato class you will learn to make TWO of Italy’s most iconic creations. We’ll let you in on the secrets to both including that age old question what is the difference between gelato and ice-cream!!
When in Rome, learn to cook gelato and pizza! Pizza and gelato: two of Italy’s greatest creations. InRomeCooking offers the chance to learn to make Italian gelato and pizza in a unique, historical setting.
This fun class is great for families and friends. With our English-speaking Italian chef, learn the techniques of kneading the all-important pizza dough, as Italians have been doing for two centuries. Our guests are always welcomed with drinks and antipasti.
What to adorn your pizza with? Have fun choosing between deliciously salty Italian prosciutto or wonderfully fruity black olives. Decide if you want to keep things simple ‘bianca’ without sauce, or add a rich tomato sauce for a pizza ‘rosso’.
Recommended as a late afternoon class, as pizza and gelato make for a satisfying early evening treat, with local wines and antipasti.

What an amazing experience. Alessandro was the best teacher and host. He was extremely, friendly, patiend, and beyond helpful. I couldn’t recommend this place more. The food was excellent, but they were so friendly and accommodating, I would highly recommend booking this class. What a great experience.

This was a fun family experience for myself, my husband and step daughter. She is 18. We all enjoyed learning about the how’s and whys of cooking and preparing food in the Roman way. The entire staff in the kitchen were friendly, welcoming and professional. The space was large and the dining experience after we prepared our meals was excellent. We were served Prosecco and a snack on arrival and were served wine with our meals. We had never done anything like this but it was so enjoyable. We highly recommend this as part of a tour of Rome for a fun night with delicious food.

We did this class as a family & it was our favorite thing during our trip. Alessandro was so kind to our kids (ages 11 & 13) and was a great teacher. The pizza & gelato were delicious!

My family and I did the pizza and gelato class and we loved it! Everything tasted amazing and our instructor Alex was great! Highly recommend (especially if you have a picky eater in the family!)

Sarah and her assistant were amazing!!! We had so much fun learning how to make gelato and pizza. The class was very personable, hands on and the food was delicious. Small, quaint, interesting and fun. We started with appetizers and Prosecco before making gelato and dough to create a pizza to be enjoyed as a sit down dinner with wine. I would recommend for anyone that wants to meet lovely people from Italy, enjoy a home cooked meal and learn more about this fantastic city and its food.

Such a fun time!! Our chef created a great learning experience. The kitchen was immaculate and food safety practices in effect. The pizza and Gelato we made were excellent!!
