We had the most amazing and perfect trip to Pompeii. Sergio was incredibly knowledgeable and clear. He was enthusiastic about the city and its history. The single ear headset worked very well (a little cumbersome, but the audio was clear). So much better than a guide yelling over multiple groups.
I highly recommend asking for Sergio by name!

Our tour guide was excellent! As an archeologist, he gave nuance and detail to our tour. I wish the tour had been longer, as I enjoyed it so thoroughly. Glad I heeded advice to wear a hat and comfortable walking shoes.

Andrea was a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable and provided a fantastic tour. The 2 hour tour was perfect and gave us the opportunity to walk around after with everything Andrea taught us on the tour.

Our tour guide, Sergio was excellent! He’s an archaeologist currently working at Pompeii. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and clearly enjoyed sharing the history of Pompeii with us. Our only regret was not giving ourselves an extra few hours to explore the museum and antiquarium afterwards!

Pros: the wonderful tour guide we had, I think her name was Alexander. She was passionate about Pompeii and giving us as much information as we could absorb. We only had 10 in our group, so a small size.
Cons: the man named Michele who worked for Askos tour company. There were 3 people who missed the start of the earlier tour at 1pm (due to extreme rain), and he would not let them join our tour 2pm (we only had 10 attendees and could have had up to 20). He told them they could do the 3.30pm tour. These poor people were stuck in the rain for longer than was necessary. A shame for Askos tours!
