Our enthusiastic chefs will guide you through the creation of a 3-course Portuguese meal. You'll be cooking alongside a small group of classmates from around the world, sharing laughter, wine, and local snacks throughout the cooking lesson. To cap off the experience, you'll enjoy the menu you prepared paired with excellent Portuguese wines.
One can not loose the opportunity to learn about the Portuguese cuisine while in Portugal.
Your menu includes typical Portuguese appetizers, which may change with the season to ensure fresh and flavorful results. The main dish—whether seafood, fish, or meat (vegetarian options available). The meal concludes with a delightful traditional Portuguese dessert.
Our hands-on cooking classes are conducted in English by our local, trained chefs. They'll immerse you in a genuine Portuguese gastronomic adventure, sharing their knowledge, personal experiences, and culinary tips and techniques. Join our team of Portuguese chefs to cook up some of the most traditional Portuguese recipes. Don't worry about memorizing them, we'll send you digital recipes to your email then, so you can replicate them at home and share it with your family and friends.

This is an excellent Portuguese cooking class. Elenor and Beatrice were wonderful and it was the perfect experience.
The codfish casserole, vegetable tempura, salad and rice pudding were delicious. They took their time and gave us many tips in our cooking lesson.
I so recommend this experience.

The cooking class I took with Lisbon Affair was the highlight of my trip to Lisbon. Lisbon Affair is a family owned business that provides genuine hospitality and a great experience. Within days of my booking, they were in touch with me to find out if I had any food allergies or needed any accommodations for the class. When I messaged them the day of with a request, they were able to easily accommodate me. If you are looking for a fun, hospitable, intimate, cultural experience I highly recommend booking this cooking class.

A wonderful experience learning how to prepare a few traditional Portuguese dishes. The chef and her assistants were very engaging and by the end we all sat together to enjoy our dishes!!!

We visited Lisbon Affair for a cooking class on a Saturday evening after booking the cooking class earlier in the day. We looked at a few different options and are really glad we chose this class.
Everyone was so kind, warm and welcoming. We learned about Portuguese cuisine and prepared a main dish, side dishes and dessert. Afterwards we ate together as a group while tasting some cheese, bread and wine too!
Can't say enough about the group teaching the class - they were funny, knowledgeable and really great to spend time with. It felt like we were welcomed into someone's home for dinner. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Lisbon and would recommend!
Side note - the location is easy to get to by metro or cab. It took us ~15 minutes from the Baixa area by the Metro Green Line.

Bea and Sara were the ultimate hosts, making us felt so welcome and the food was delicious! The Lisbon Affair kitchen is ideally situated, so clean, and easy to get to, only a block or two from the metro red line. We loved this experience so much and it was one of our favorite things about Lisbon!

This was an excellent experience. Do not be afraid of the lack of reviews- it is a new company. The location is away from the usual tourist areas, but it is less than one minute from the metro (green line), well-marked and easy to find. The facilities are new and laid out well for a cooking class. Our class was made up of four people. During the class, there were tapas and wine available to hold us over until the meal. Both were delicious. We made several traditional Portuguese recipes and the instructors were helpful and also included interesting information about Portugal & Portuguese food- much more of a conversation than a lecture. After cooking, we all sat down together to enjoy the food. Delicious food and wine with good conversation. Our instructors (Bea and Thierry) were knowledgeable about Portuguese food, gave great recommendations for the rest of our trip, and were willing to share stories about life in Portugal. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon.
