Stop At: Doka Estate Costa Rica Coffee Tour and Plantation, 129, Provincia de Alajuela, Alajuela, Costa Rica
A day filled with the aroma of coffee will be our reward as we visit the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica, known as the Hacienda Doka estate, located on the slopes of the Poas Volcano.
Visiting this Doka coffee plantation will allow you to learn everything about the process and good practices related to this crop, as well as on our tour of the coffee farm we will observe its machinery and discover the step by step of seed germination for the first cultivation of the plants, the development process of the plant and up to the point of harvesting the mature grain, we will also learn about the history of the farm, the production and varieties of coffee plants, the geography of the area and the traditional way of cultivating the coffee bean, it is very important to note that being in the natural and cultural environment of this coffee plantation will make you want to enjoy an exquisite cup of coffee while having an exquisite typical Costa Rican breakfast.

Stop At: Poas Volcano National Park, Poas Volcano National Park, Province of Alajuela
We will go to the beautiful POAS VOLCANO, whose main attraction is that it can be accessed to the edge of it. Not only does it have one of the largest craters in the world, but it is located in the mountainous forests of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range and we will be able to learn from the gas emanations, ecosystem and vegetation. On the way to the Volcano you will be able to notice its different microclimates and the great diversity of agriculture, we will be able to observe a great variety of plantations and cattle farms at the same time that we will have a spectacular view of the Central Valley. And the lagoon of its crater will leave us in love with the desire to return.
The complete stay in the Poas Volcano National Park will be approximately 50 minutes which are distributed in: 10 minutes in the initial talk, and information, 10 minutes walk to the viewpoint of the Volcano crater, 20 minutes of fixed permanence in the viewpoint and another 10 minutes on the way back to the transport parking lot.

Stop At: La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Vara Blanca 40105 Costa Rica
La Paz Waterfall Gardens Natural Park is the most popular nature tour in the San José area with five famous waterfalls and the largest animal sanctuary in Costa Rica. It is by far the best place to see wildlife in Costa Rica, it is the most popular ecological attraction in Costa Rica. Lush tropical jungle, flowing white rivers, spectacular waterfalls, birds, butterflies, monkeys, hummingbirds, snakes, felines and frogs. At La Paz Waterfall Gardens Natural Park and Wildlife Refuge, you're guaranteed to see all of that and more. at the beautiful falls, you will be able to take beautiful pictures.

It was a great tour! Mario was absolutely terrific, friendly and knowledgeable. We had plenty of time in each of the destinations to see what was needed to be seen and time for photos and questions. The one thing I will say that caught me by surprise and should probably be posted in the description is that the pickup is at 6am (quite early). The tour ends around 1pm, due to traffic heading back, you will end up getting back to the hotel around 3-330pm (so nearly 10 hours). Even with the long day, the food was delicious and the company on my tour was fantastic as well. Had a great time!

It is a good tour of remarkable places. Poas Volcano is the first thing to see around San Jose as I heard from locals. Indeed, the view of long clouds of smoke from fumaroles is stunning. Just remember - you have just 20 min to get your chance, and if the "window" in usual clouds does not open, bad luck. The waterfalls are beautiful and definitely worth seeing. The tour was well organized and the guide was friendly and professional.

Herman was an amazing guide. Spoke perfect English. We had a fabulous time. Every activity was well planned and we weren’t rushed but didn’t waste any time. I highly recommend it! Gorgeous and educational tour.

In October 2023 we went to Costa Rica for the Caribbean carnival in Limón and to visit the capital San José. In San José we booked the Day Tour to Poás Volcano, Café Doka and La Paz Waterfalls, to enjoy what the city and Costa Rica has to offer. It was an amazing tour, one of the best I ever experienced while travelling.
The tour included entrance to the Poas Volcano,
entrance to the Doka estate coffee farm and plantation with breakfast prior to the tour, and entrance to La Paz Waterfall Gardens (La Paz Waterfall). Also breakfast and lunch were included. It was a great experience, the guide was very knowledgeable about all sights, only thing was to not have rushed to see the waterfalls and have more time to take more quality pictures. He just wanted us to be there before the waterfalls were going to get more crowded with other tourists. I get that, but in this group there were also people above middle age, so just for safety concern and keep physical condition of each group in mind, a slower pace was appreciated.

The tour guide, Mario, went out of his way to help me having to use a mobility scooter. Being near a active volcano and having to wear a hardhat is case of falling debris.

Experience a active volcano, exploring the coffee & learning the complete process from farm to table was very educational. The Peace Falls tour was breathtaking. Be sure to request Mario. He was fun, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. The meals provided were tasty. Book the trip now!!

Try ing to get a refund cause the volcano was closed and waisted a whole day of my vacation and money. Come to fins out they had closed the tour the day before due to eruptions and seismic activity and they still took my money and waisted my day knowing it would be closed
