Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Mount Fuji, Chubu

Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Fuji at several places during this day, along with many other surprises.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Hakone Turnpike Daikanyama Parking lot, 955 Kajiya, Yugawara-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 259-0313 Kanagawa Prefecture

We will begin the trip with one if not the most scenic road of the Fuji/Hakone region. The road itself has many panoramas and from the top observatory, there is an incredible view of all the valley, Hakone, and Fuji. Even in case of rain, it is so foggy and green that it is an incredible atmosphere.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Hakone Shrine, 284 Miyanoshita, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0404 Kanagawa Prefecture

The Hakone Shrine is a Japanese Shinto shrine on the shores of Lake Ashii. It was founded in 757 and contains a Tori (red gate), several shrines and buildings, some souvenir shops and a museum. It is one of the most beautiful shrines in the region, lost in nature.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Lake Ashinoko, Hakone, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0521 Kanagawa Prefecture

We will then reach Lake Ashi, where we will stop at several famous Torii Gates (traditional Japanese gates most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine) and Shrines.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tenzan Tohji-kyo, 208 Yumotochaya, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0312 Kanagawa Prefecture

After the highway trip, scenic road, shrine and lake visit, it will be time to eat, and of course, relax. We will slowly make our way to some of the most beautiful onsen that Kanto has to offer (several choices, depending of your mood and desires). There we will be able to eat local specialities, relax in the thermal water, and even have a massage. Napping next to the water in the relaxation room is also possible, and recommended.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Lake Ashinoko Sky Line, 638 Hakone, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0521 Kanagawa Prefecture

After Lunch, if time permits, we will pass by a second iconic road of the Fuji/Hakone region. It will allow us to have an even closer view on Fuji, on Lake Ashinoko, and even the sea! There are 4 breathtaking panorama along the road and we will stop at each of them.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Hakone Open-Air Museum, 1121 Ninotaira, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0493 Kanagawa Prefecture

After lunch, and relaxation at the onsen, it will be time to take the road again and go to the open-air museum. It holds collections of artworks by Picasso, Henry Moore, Taro Okamoto, Yasuo Mizui, Churyo Sato, Susumu Shingū, and many others, featuring over a thousand sculptures exhibited within 70,000 square meters of green garden. It is both mesmerizing and relaxing, for adults and children alike.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Pola Museum of Art, 1285 Kozukayama, Sengokuhara, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0631 Kanagawa Prefecture

If the weather isn't kind, or if you are quick, or interested by both, we will go to Pola Museum, which is indoor. The museum is nestled in a forest of beech trees and hidden in the wooded mountains of Hakone. The award-winning modern architecture blends finds a beautiful contrast and harmony with the surrounding nature. The museum exhibits a world-class collection of Western and Japanese paintings, ceramics, and cosmetic utensils, with a focus on impressionist paintings.

We had a very beautiful and memorable day with Elie on Mount Fuji. Elie showed us streets and roads hidden from the large influx of tourists with stunning views of the beauty of these places and complemented this with his story with deep knowledge of the history of Japan. I highly recommend this guide. Elie is an interesting and well-read professional in his profession. I left Japan with great impressions thanks to him!

Had a great day will Elie. Saw Mt. Fuji from a different place where there isn't a lot of crowds. Didn't get close to the Mt but still able to have a clear beautiful view. Had an excellent dinner, a Japanese massage and went into the onsen for about an hour. We didn't have much time to visit the museum but the onsen was worth it. Good trip to take when it gets crowded and want to see different views of the city. I recommend it.

This tour was such a treat! We saw so many cool things as well as enjoyed some good food and company. The onsen was so relaxing after a long flight. A really great experience if you want to see some sides of the city that we would not have found on our own. A true local experience.

Elie was the best guide! He was super knowledgeable, accommodating, insightful and easy going. He will take you off the beaten path to see sights that are not overcrowded by tourists. He also gives great recommendations for restaurants or activities to do after the excursion, so make sure to ask! The onsen experience is a MUST— and Elie brings you to a really immersive one.

This was a great tour to get a day out of Tokyo into the countryside. Many tours do not include a visit to the Onsen, but this was excellent and the food there was very good. If there is time, get a massage it was great. Overall a great day out . The views were spectacular (it was a clear day).

This is not your typical tour. We enjoyed seeing Fuji from several vantage points. Hokone was beautiful and the Onsen gave us the relaxation and culture experience we wanted. Elie was a fantastic guide and we enjoyed getting to know him throughout the day!!

So happy I booked this experience my first time in Japan . If you love nature, temples, onsens, traditional Japanese food, riding in comfort, and good company, book now 😂! Elie (driver, tour guide) is easy going , and is great conversation. He has designed the tour with relaxation and traditional site seeing that no many or any ?? Other tours do . Includes; Beautiful ride to onsen with views of the Fuji mountain, which will take 1hr - 1hr 20mins Elie (driver) will stop along the way for site seeing pictures and if wheather permits a gorgeous view of Fuji You will stop at a temple of luck and walk around . Then wind down the scenic roads with Fuji in the background to the onsen. Here he will advise a delicious restaurant in the onsen (of your own fee, but quite affordable) Tattoos are no problem at this onsen You will stay at the onsen for an hour or so.. He then offers more scenic site seeing or a museum art gallery with installations on the way home . Both if time permits . The ride home you can get stuck in traffic . None the less Honestly the best thing I did in japan. Thank you again Elie

This was a fantastic day. Elie our tour guide was very friendly, informative and accomodating. He knew the more exclusive spots to see the breathtaking Mt Fuji. The visit to the onsen was a unique and relaxing experience but if it’s not your thing, you can have a massage, rest in the relaxation rooms as well as enjoy a delicious and traditional meal in the restaurants there. It’s a great day trip to see various sights and get a genuine feel for the Fuji / Hakone region - especially for those who want a more exclusive and memorable experience. Recommend highly.
