On the way to Lantau, Jacky gave us an excellent overview of Hong Kong and about the historical development and mentality of the inhabitants of Hong Kong. With a lot of serenity and always a mischievous smile he showed us the island and explained the sights perfectly even for non-native speakers. What remains is a memory of a wonderful half day, which was also perfected by Jacky, since my wife is limited in walking, he adapted the program a bit and even found a way to reach directly to the big Buddha. We are so excited that we will book another tour when we visit Hongkong next year, and we are sure that this is definitely a good decision.

Tai Po fishing village was very interesting. Unfortunately weather was very foggy & we could not see Buddha or anything on tram so we spent very much to see only a third of the itinerary. We know this was not anyone’s fault, but we are disappointed. Ben, our guide, was excellent, and so was the driver.

5 of us did a full loop on Lantau to Tai O and the Big Buddha with Jacky. It was executed perfectly from great communication prior and exacting pick up instructions. Jacky did a great job of explaining everything along the way about what we were seeing and why it was there, which helps kids and adults remember what they are seeing. It felt like we had a fast pass to everything and were a exactly the right place at the right time and with a small group we could spend more time looking at everything because there was no wasted time waiting and we got to hop out a few times just to see interesting things along the way. I think this was particularly helpful in Tai O where you are getting a look into people's lives and less people makes a big difference. Even photo assistance and follow up was spot on. Couldn't imagine anything that could have made it a better experience.

Sydney was our tour guide and she was excellent. She was very engaging and knowledgeable. There were four of us on this tour, including two 19 year olds. We all had a great time. Also, the driver was very professional and accommodating. We recommend this tour.

Jacky was an incredible tour guide. Very professional, informative and genuinely cared about teaching us about the history of Hong Kong. Provided us with a lot of good suggestions of where to go and even told us to contact him anytime during our stay if we had questions or needed further recommendations.

Had a wonderful time! Ben was terrific, full of information and very sweet. Sadly, due to the holiday we couldn’t go to the top because they were not accommodating medical conditions but Ben was so nice to climb up with our son so he could experience it. Fishing village is very quaint, lots of history there - SO worth the trip with pick up/drop off at hotel.. highly recommended!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 hour tour with expert tour guide Jacky Wong, one of 4 days of tours we experienced with him. We started in the unique Tai O fishing village, which certainly proved to be the highlight of the day. We saw how fishermen as they retired placed their boats onto stilts above the water, insulated them and sided them with tin, and then turned them into their homes. From there we took a 10-minute drive to the Giant Buddha which was designed in the 1970’s and built in the 1990’s sitting proudly atop a hill overlooking a beautiful landscape. Our concerns of walking up and down the 252 steps to reach the Giant Buddha, the management of the site actually provided a car and driver to take us to the base of the Buddha! It made what could have been a physically challenging day a real pleasure! We would never have had this fantastic experience and seen so much in 5 hours if we had not decided to take the private tour with Jacky Wong!

Ashley was a superb guide, so knowledgeable about the history and culture of Japan and we learned a lot from her that day. A lovely walk through the fishing village of Tai O with a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Then a fascinating trip to Big Buddha and the museum inside which Ashley brought to life with her explanation of the paintings and information about Chinese characters and language history. She was the perfect guide and we felt privileged to have spent the day with her.

We loved our Lantau Island tour with Jacky, who is a wonderful and very engaging guide - he picked us from our hotel and drove us all around Lantau through the backroads, visiting the large reservoir, the Tai O fishing village, and the Big Buddha/Po Lin Monastery before taking the cable car and ending at the airport for our onward flight. It is possible to visit these places on your own, but it would take a lot of planning and time, so Jacky was worth every penny. He is an expert in all things Lantau and Hong Kong, and it was a very fun and worthwhile tour!
