Ride along the beach and on calm sea days take a swim in the ocean with your horse. We do ride out rain or sun as this is an outdoor activity. If the weather is forecasted to be dangerous, we will contact you to reschedule.

Totally recommend Sandy Hoofs. Being passionate about animal welfare, I researched horse riding in St Lucia before booking and I wasn't disappointed, the horses are well cared for, Keri and the guides were fabulous. The ride took in beautiful scenery before arriving at our first sandy bay and the opportunity to canter/gallop along the sand, my guide made sure I was comfortable to do so and the horse Teflon was fabulous. We rode on along a stoney track taking in great views to our destination, another lovely sandy beach and an exhilarating canter/gallop before riding into the sea. An amazing experience, one of the highlights of the holiday. If you like horses and horse riding you will love this!

My new husband and I had a great experience getting to do something new for the both of us! Not many places you can say you swam in the ocean bareback on a horse.

When we booked this, neither of us had any riding experience but we were made to feel so at ease. Jordon was a brilliant guide told us so much about the island and even got a fresh coconut down from a tree so we could drink the water. We then went swimming with our cheeky horse Teflon while my horse Diamond had some snacking time. It's an experience we will never forget.

Tevin was our tour guide for this excursion and he was absolutely amazing! The views are stunning. We got to ride the horses on the beach, in the water, and he took us to a higher hill so we could get an even prettier view and for pics. They had two dogs come a long the entire way, they were so cute! Definitely a must do! Bring cash do for tip! ☺️

Positive: loved the horses, the views and the beach.
Negative: we spent too long on top of the hill and I had to wait while a couple was having a pic-nic (with a different guide); when I complained we went down to the beach where another couple were already there (with another guide) We probably spent 15 minutes max on the beach; then we went back to the stables before the couple that was already on the beach…. I didn’t have the opportunity to ride myself. To top it up the guide wasn’t friendly clearly didn’t want to make conversation.
Unfortunately I can not recommend this tour operator.

Our family had the absolute best time riding with Sandy Hoofs. They are friendly, professional, and take excellent care of you.
It shows they take great pride in their horses and their business. We were welcomed and every detail attended to.
Our two guides (Arkim and Tevin) took time to get to know us and our riding level to match us to the best horse. We had wonderful conversation along the trail and they made the entire time on the beach relaxing and enjoyable.

We enjoyed a gentle horse ride along a quiet track to a secluded beach. I was a complete novice but our guide was great at calming any nerves I had and happily answered any questions we had on the ride; both horses that we rode were quite placid and knew the way so little effort was needed to 'steer' them! We had some time to ourselves at the beach and we were asked if we wanted to ride the horses saddleless in the sea but we declined being a bit wary of trying to ride without a saddle, but our guide said this wasn't a problem. The beach was quite secluded, we were the only ones there and it was nice to have some time away from the busier areas in the north of the island. We booked the horse ride as a wedding anniversary treat for my wife who rode horses in the past and it did not disappoint.

Amazing time with the lovely Jordan seeing some beautiful untouched beaches… lovely gallop and swim with the pony… definitely worth every penny. Fantastic way to see St Lucia
Would 💯 recommend this to anyone visiting the island

Was a nice excursion. Contacted the host day before arriving on the ship. She arranged a taxi to meet us at the port and take us back. It was a leisurely ride on the horses to two beaches. Got to swim for awhile and get pictures on the horses in the water.

From the friendly staff, to the fantastic guides, the beautiful horses, and the secluded beach. This tour was amazing. Our kids absolutely loved it and my wife said it was a bucket list experience riding in the ocean on the horses. Would highly recommend Sandy Hoofs.
