Stop At: Blue Lagoon, Comino Malta

Blue lagoon Malta

The blue lagoon is a blue crystal patch of water between Comino and Cominotto, where you have white sandy beaches on either side. The only way to get to the blue lagoon is by boat.
It is one place where we stop with the private boat trip for a swim and snorkel. The clearness of the blue lagoon makes it feels like you are swimming in a pool. Given that it is a private boat, we anchor in the bluest parts of the lagoon, where you can get the best experience out of your Maltese vacation.
The blue lagoon is very photogenic. It offers the most extensive stretch of blue waters in the Maltese islands; it is one of the top 5 things to do in malta.
It is not a hidden gem, so the best way to explore the blue lagoon and its beaches is by private boat so you can get the best blue waters exclusive to yourself.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Santa Marija Bay, Comino Malta

Santa Marija Bay

Santa Marija is a secluded beach in the north of Comino. The beach has a horseshoe shape. The main beach consists of white sand surrounded by tamarisk trees line at the back. You also have little Santa marija. This is a little bay close to the main beach. Little Santa marija has a healthy sea bed and marine life, making it a superb place for snorkeling, especially with parrotfish.
Santa Marija is known for being more private than the rest of the island, making it a perfect family beach with a food stretch of sand where you can build sandcastles and play beach games. On the side of Santa Marija beach, you also have the only comino police station and a hundred meters up the road. The comino medieval chapel that looks it just came off a spaghetti western movie.
We will visit this bay in a private boat. Close by to this beach, there are Santa Marija caves. We will also explore these during the boat trip, exploring caves and coves with crystal blue waters

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Cominotto Beach, Triq Kemmuneti, Malta

Cominotto beach

Cominitto beach can only be reached by a private boat. We will anchor in the blue waters of cominotto beach. This secluded bay in the blue lagoon is famous for some of the most famous movies shot there. Amongst them, there is Troy with Brad Pit, swept away by Madonna, and many more. This beach has a swim trough cave of around 50 meters to the other side of the island. This private boat trip is an adventure from start to finish, and places like cominotto and its beach give it part of the most memorable adventure.

a small sandy beach in the north of Malta , close to one of the starting points, it is good with south winds, and has some nice crystal waters. Paradise bay is also frequented by divers

Pass By: St. Mary's Tower, Ghajnsielem, Comino Malta

Saint Mary's Tower
While cruising on the private boat trip, we see this tower over the high cliffs of the lagoon. Saint Mary's tower dates back to the 17th century, and it is still in good condition. This tower formed part of a chain of defensive towers serving as a fortification and a warning system in case of invasion or spot pirates or smugglers.
Apart from being a fortification from the 17th century, Saint Mary's Tower was also chosen to represent the Mediterranean prison Château d'If in the Count of Monte Cristo movie from 2002.

Stop At: Crystal Lagoon, Southeast of Blue Lagoon, in the direction of St Mary_s Tower, Ghajnsielem, Island of Gozo Malta

Crystal lagoon Malta

A spectacular lagoon, with turquoise waters, the coast of this lagoon is dotted with numerous caves, some with a secret sandy beach inside them. Our boat is built to be able to enter some of the caves, letting you explore the bluest waters, discovering the secret beaches, and getting information from a knowledgeable skipper about Malta, Gozo, and its islands.
This is a private boat trip, and we will customize it to your group's needs.
Crystal lagoon, is a snorkel paradise so we will schedule a small snorkel stop(always depending on the time of the year and our clients what they prefer). Snorkel equipment is provided free of charge.

Another interesting fact is that crystal lagoon was used for many movies, including Popey, count of monte Cristo, Troy, and many more. Rest assured that the skipper will give you all this information amongst some historical and fun facts about the island. Get ready for the best excursion on your holiday.

The port is bustling with activity, from colorful fishing boats, yachts and fishermen mending their nets on one of the jetties.
Forth Chambre dominates the harbor. The Knight of St John built the Fort. Adjacent to the Fort lies a small Gothic Chapel filled with little details dedicated to Lourdes, and a statue sits cozy in the cliff just underneath it

Wow! What an experience this was. Firstly, the communication with Sam and Janet who own and run this business was fantastic. Really clear instructions on how to get there, where to meet and suggestions on what to take with us. Then, we met our lovely skipper Alfred who made the trip really fun and managed to effectively handle 7 women! (This is not to be underestimated)! The blue lagoon and other beautiful spots we went to were breathtaking and the water so beautiful. We were blessed with amazing weather and would definitely book with Sam and Janet again and hopefully skipper Alfred!! Thank you.

We had a lovely three hour boat trip with this very nice company. Definitely recommend a private tour as you can alter the itinerary to suit your needs. Janet was very communicative beforehand, sending parking locations and helping us get to the pick up point. Our skipper, Casper was a delightful young man who was friendly and knowledgeable, taking us to good spots to swim. A lovely activity and a great way to experience the seas around the islands. Thank you.

An unforgettable voyage! Our group ranged in age from 6 to 78 but Justin the captain looked after all of us individually, with kindness and with great humour, all while showing us around the beautiful coastline, coves and harbours of Gozo and Comino. He offered us a range of things to do and places to swim and changed the plan on the fly to match our whims. The highlights for me were snorkeling and swimming though a natural arch in Comino. It's worth the money - just book it!

Very underwhelming We were charged about 250 euro plus 79euro for fuel for a private charter. The skipper was not very informed about the local history and appeared more interested in stopping and speaking to passing boats rather than showing us safe beeches where we could snorkel. We had to bring our own food. In the Uk for that price food will be provided. And we were dropped off sooner than our allocated time even though we were promised extra time because the skipper was busy chatting with passing boat skippers. Perhaps we just had an uninspiring skipper All in all we felt this was a rip off. Avoid.

Noel was our captain and he took us on a great boat ride and was a great fit for our family - which included a 12 and 14 year old. He interacted with them and made sure to hail the ice cream boat over so we could get ice cream for our kids. Always asked what we would like to see and do and had a great time swimming in the beatiful waters. Great stories and a great and memorable ride. Highly recommend

Amazing afternoon out on the water today. Great combination of sight seeing, swimming and relaxing. Pedro was wonderful, very obliging and a very skilled skipper. We enjoyed the stories, music and relaxed approach. Everything all the other reviews say is absolutely true, this tour is one not to be missed. Thank you to the team at Outdoor explorers.

Fun day out on the water! Our boat captain (sorry, forgot his name) was great. He provided many suggestions on where to go and let us decide what we wanted to do and how much time to spend in different places. He provided interesting facts about the island, history, films shot there, wildlife (I never knew there were jellyfish that don't sting) and we had a great time.
