Learning to DJ at LSA was the best decision I’ve ever made! I’ve always been a massive music head and wanted to learn to DJ so took the plunge after covid. I did the courses from the beginner to advanced with Tom (insta @duncan_thomas_music) and he was so amazing, cool, calm and such a Knowledgeable professional. He’s also a sick producer and vinyl DJ. I managed to finish the courses in just 7months. Classes are flexible so you can book them to suit your diary - perfect when u work full time. After learning about how a track is built I wanted to know more so decided to take the Ableton production course. I went for the group class every Sunday with Ollie (insta @ollierantdj ) also an amazing producer, digi and vinyl DJ. This was amazing! I left with an almost finished track and detailed course notes I have been using since. What I wasn’t ready for was the lifelong friends I have made along the way, fellow music heads with the same interests as me which has been invaluable. Since finishing the course we still link up and B2B, we even put on our first small event together. If you’re thinking of learning this is 1000% the BEST place to start. Oh yeah - AND when you finishe the DJ courses you can put your name down and get gig experience! Since graduating I have played at Horse & Groom in Shoreditch, EGG LDN and Ministry of Sound, twice in two different rooms! You can also book the amazing Tommy, the LSA photographer to get you those amazing shots for that all-important content (insta @lsa_djportraits ) can’t recommend this place enough it’s the best. All the tutors are lovely, the atmosphere is an absolute vibe, the studios are fully equipped with the latest gear, when u walk in you can just hear the bass of different lessons going on. It’s so so fun.

LSA is more than just DJ lessons. A lot more. Through my brilliant tutor James Wilson (Kieran) I went from being a novice bedroom DJ to a skilled, confident Dj playing at the Ministry of Sound in 1 year. I work full time so the ability to book 1:1 course lessons at different times was hugely helpful. There is a real sense of community and mutual support when you become an LSA Alumni. Quite simply it’s one of the best things I have done.

A couple of years I enrolled in LSA's DJ academy, starting at beginner and progressing all the way to elite. It was one of the best things I've ever done - both tutors on my journey (Ben & Kieran) were awesome. Both great teachers, really approachable and very patient! The whole setup/environment of the studios are super cool and as a result of the academy I've now played at Ministry of Sound and have other gigs on the horizon off the back of doing this course. Anyone looking to learn to DJ, I can't recommend LSA highly enough!!

The journey I had at London Sound Academy's Elite DJ course was unbelivable! It's been a total game-changer for me. I went in with some skills, but now? My DJ game is on a whole new level. The instructor ( Shoutout to Kieran! :) ) are like the Yodas of the DJ world—knowledgeable and crazy passionate. They not only helped me fine-tune my mixing skills but also turned me into a confident stage wizard. And it's not just about the classes. They plugged me into this awesome DJ community that's like a backstage pass to gigs and opportunities. London Sound Academy went above and beyond, and now I'm not just a DJ; I'm a part of a dope family. If you're serious about DJing, this is the place to be! 🎧🔥

Fantastic class + gave me a massive confidence-boost in my basic DJing skills. We went through a thorough set up of the decks, learning how to resolve some of the settings which could sabotage your set before you even begin! Then I was taught creative ways to use the more advanced effects: filter, echo, spiral, delay, flanger, transformer etc. Now I feel like I know how and when to use these effects to boost my set, create tension and compliment other sounds. We also practised how to switch between DJs, using the link and multiple USBs. Finally, I was taught best practise on how to bring an end to the set. The class was super fun and I will be coming back to complete the courses to gain more experience and build on my skills!

I booked a private DJ lesson at LSA and absolutely loved it. I wanted to learn more about DJing with vinyl, and the lesson exceeded my expectations. Buster was super calm, friendly, polite and patient, and highly professional and resourceful. He showed me beat matching techniques in a very clear way, using drawings to show me how to do it easily. He also sent me those drawings so I could remember how to do it on my own. At the end of the lesson, I learned new finishing techniques and had so much fun. I can ensure that this lesson is for you that never tried DJing before because he goes from all principles and techniques from scratch or for you that need to polish your existing Djing Skills! I loved every minute of it! Thank you so much, Buster and London Sound Academy!

Having been a bedroom DJ on vinyl a long long time ago and taking a couple of decades out, I wanted to learn how to DJ properly using the latest equipment. I was recommended LSA by a friend and, man, what a great recommendation it was. I took myself back to beginner classes so as not to miss a thing and Ben and Buster were phenomenal. Explaining the equipment, the set up, mixing in key, ‘proper’ beat matching, musical harmonies and soooo much more. After that course, I went back for Intermediate and advanced courses and they were astonishing. Teaching me skills that nobody could teach online and encouraging me to do more, play out and have confidence in my abilities. I then took a basic production class to get me familiar with actually making the music I play and this, again, was phenomenal. Everyone at every level at LSA has been awesome. Having done this, I played out with them and loved it. New found skills and confidence, combined with my love for the music was absolutely brilliant. Since then I’ve taken the Elite classes with Kieran and I can honestly say that I feel completely comfortable and at ease with everything they throw at me now. The knowledge, experience and expertise all at LSA have is second to none. As a 50 year old man, I’ve played the 103 room at Ministry of Sound, Egg, Golden Bee, JinBoLaw, lots of private parties and I’m also resident on a renowned local radio station. All of this is thanks to what I’ve learned and gained from LSA. For any age, any level, any musical taste, I can’t recommend them enough

Thanks to LSA's teachings, I am now a much better performer and getting more gigs! All the tutors I had (Kieran, Olmo, Taylor, Takahiko) were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Being offered such amazing gig opportunities upon graduation (Ministry of Sound/Egg/H&G,etc) is something I ve never seen elsewhere. Wether you are just curious about DJing or you want to boost your career, I can't recommend LSA enough! Five stars all the way! Jon Cerutti
