The guide is fluent in English as required. He was very helpful. Apart from visiting various locations in the Favela, he also looked after my time in São Paulo and suggested me with a number of activities near my hotel. He provided me with the necessary links, which were obviously extra to the original trip.

Excellent tour! Renato, the owner of the company, sent an associate to conduct our tour, also named Renato, who was punctual in picking us up at our AirB&B, very knowledgeable and accommodating to our requests. We also were met by a local guide-Igor, a filmmaker, inside the favela. The tour itself was thrilling, with an opportunity to meet the artists, explore their working environments, and also understand and witness many community programs and entrepreneurial start ups inside the favela.
Afterwards, Renato, the owner, put together a very detailed itinerary, and specific to my interests, at no charge along Avenida Paulista, where we asked to be dropped off.
Highly recommend this tour and anything else Renato offers. It will be thorough, personalized and logistically smooth.

Renato was an absolutely amazing tour guide. Not only could you feel his passion for his job, he was extremely knowledgeable about everything from art to history to safety to food. He speaks four languages (French, English, Portuguese, Spanish), has his masters in French, and is studying Guarani, an indigenous language he is willing to research on his PHD. He catered the day activities directly to our liking, remembered all the little things (even stopped to get us an atm withdrawal and mortadella sandwich -- he tried to prevent me from having it, but I insisted -- and floss which were not on the itinerary)…after our dropping us after our tour, he drove forty minutes to place our name on a Michelin star waitlist (typically a three hour wait) just to save us the haste - completely amazing guide, five star service, and such an asset to any company he chooses to work for!

O Renato além de conhecer bem a comunidade e seus moradores, entende não só a dinâmica, como a realidade das pessoas que vivem ali. Sem falar que conhece toda a cidade muito bem e compartilha preciosas informações sobre tudo, durante seu tour.
