This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
We pick you up!
We have an almost 100-minute ride till we get to Meteora
an optional short stop at a local icon workshop (10-20mins)
Agios Stefanos is the one that has the easiest access
Great Meteoron is the biggest of them all, (400 steps are involved)
Roussanou Nunnery and Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas monasteries are small monasteries, both outstanding choices.
Varlaam Monastery (closed on Thursdays and Fridays) is the one with the best view
Of course, all of the open monasteries are good choices.
Many people prefer not to take all those monastery steps (100-400 depending on the monastery) if that's the case we spend more time taking photos. So you can always decide on the spot what suits you best. Most people visit 2 monasteries, but if you decide to visit more it is not a problem for us.
The scenery is outstanding and till now for every passenger, we've transferred an experience of a lifetime.

The monasteries were amazing but Nikos made this experience! He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable of Greek culture and history. He went above and beyond, and added special touches to the tour. We would highly recommend.

Nikos picked us up at the port of Volos and guided us the full day to Meteora monasteries. It was amazing. Nikos was just great!! He is an excellent driver and he took us to the best places. I highly recommend him !! We will use him again for sure when we go back to the region.

We had a breathtaking trip to Meteora from Volos with our guide Kostis. He not only took us to the six main monasteries for which Meteora is well known, but also to two “secret” monasteries built into the cliff walls that few people know about. He was extremely flexible and built the schedule around our preferences. If you go to Greece, you must go to Meteora! It is truly one of the world’s most unique and amazing places. And Volos transfers and tours is the best way to get there! This was the best day of our trip.
