We were able to take the ride at sunset and it was beautiful. We loved the ride but were taken back 10 min early did t get the whole experience. Our guide never spoke and took us back early.

We wanted a brief Gondola ride to check off this activity from our Venice bucket list. The tour company cranks through hundreds of rides per day. The driver or guy who maneuvered the gondola didn’t speak much english. We knew this ride wasn’t going to educate us on anything but maybe we should have paid a little more to get more out of it. We played our own music to break up the silence but there are a ton of other boats in the water it’s like a taxi jam.

25 min out of 45 and not in the canal.
We rode exactly 25 min, the gondolier barely got into a first street off of the grand canal and rode the shortest square block and parked back to the bay.
The gondolier was an old man without knowledge of English so we didn't communicate and he didn't say a word
Lots of gondola rides around without booking for a cheaper price and no line.

After having such a fun ride sound the island on the water taxi/shuttle, we decided to just do a 30-minute gondola ride instead of an hour.
We paid for 30 minutes. They took us back after 20 minutes. When we pressed them on it they just spoke in Italian and then just waved us to get off the gondola. A very short lap around and part of that time was waiting in a congested canal for other gondolas to pass through.
The gondolier barely said anything and at one point was talking on his cellphone.
Total bust and waste of money.
Better Option: Hop on the water shuttle that have seats outside and go island hopping. Enjoy the nice breeze. Much more fun. You just have to wait a bit for some stops to unload most of the crowd and then the rest of the ride is enjoyable.

This was the only activity out of so many thet I would not recommend. First of all we paid too much online while both of us could have taken a gondola ride for 80 dollars. They promised us 30 minutes but it was a lot shorter and the Gondolier was not friendly. He did not sing and kept talking to other gondoliers in Italian while passing by. It was no way near a romantic experience in the beautiful city of Venice.

The pickup location was easy to find and the gondola itself was in good condition and comfortable. Unfortunately I feel the experience was diminished by having the gondolier constantly on his mobile phone throughout the ride. Maybe I’m a little old fashioned but when you buy a traditional, human propelled boat trip, it felt wrong, his yelling down the phone just detracted from the experience.

First of all we arrived at the spot 15 minutes early and one of the gondoliers told us we were at the wrong gondola stand. We walked around to two other stands, the last one sending us back to where we started. When we showed a different employee at the front he said “ Your late, you can’t do it”. I tried explaining to him what had happened and he was so extremely rude and wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say! My husband waited a few minutes and asked again what we could do and he said ok get on this gondola that was just sitting there the whole time. The gondolier told us we can only take you out for 15 minutes because you were late. Avoid this company at all costs! Lots of nicer gondolier companies in the area. No need to put up with rude and disrespectful companies. Stay away!!!!

The gondolier seems tired and keeps on smoking during row the boat.
No communication and explanation at all fir the full trip .

What a waste of time. Went for 20 minutes and the gondola driver was on his phone most of the time with no interest in showing us anything. We tried to engage with him but he was more interested in his phone. And then they asked us to leave a tip!
