Stop At: Vossevangen, Vossevangen, Voss Municipality, Hordaland, Western Norway

Voss is a municipality in Vestland county. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Vossevangen. Voss is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, forests, lakes and fast-flowing whitewater rivers. This has led to its development as a notable center of skiing, watersport, skydiving, paragliding and other adventure sports. Every year in the last week of June the area hosts the Ekstremsportveko (Extreme Sports Week), which is regarded as the world's premier extreme sport festival. Bømoen, the local airstrip, is home to Skydive Voss, one of the largest dropzones in Norway, as well as a gliding club.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Tvindefossen, It is 12 km from Voss on E16, the road to Flam, Vossestrand 5700 Norway

Tvindefossen is a waterfall near Voss on the road to Flåm. The many-stranded 110 meters high waterfall is formed by a small stream, the Kroelvi, tumbling over a receding cliff. It is famous for its beauty and many stop here to admire it. At one point it was Norway's ninth most visited natural attraction, with 272,000 visitors.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Stalheim, Stalheim, Hordaland, Western Norway

The small village of Stalheim lies along the highway in the northeastern part of the Voss municipality. The village sits at a high point in the inner part of the Nærøydal valley which leads northeastwards towards the Nærøyfjorden. The Stalheimsfossen waterfall is the most notable sight in the area and the view from Stalheim hotel is well-known from several paintings.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Naeroyfjord, Norway

The Nærøyfjord is a narrow fjord in the municipality of Aurland in Sogn og Fjordane county and is a branch of the large Sognefjord. The 18-kilometre (11 mi) long fjord is only 250metres (800 ft) wide in some parts. The river Nærøydalselvi flows down the valley Nærøydalen into the fjord at the village of Gudvangen. Since 2005, the Nærøyfjord has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and it has also been rated by National Graphic Society as the world's number one natural heritage site.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Aurlandsfjord, Norway

Aurlandsfjord is a fjord in Sogn and Fjordane county. The fjord flows through the municipalities of Aurland, Vik and Lærdal. The 29-kilometre (18 mi) long fjord is a branch off of the main Sognefjorden, Norway's longest fjord. The fjord is deep and narrow, reaching a depth of about 962 metres (3,156 ft) and its width is generally less than 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) wide. About 11 kilometers (6.8 mi) south of the mouth of the fjord, the Nærøyfjord branches off from it to the west. The village of Flåm sits at the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord; other villages along the fjord are Aurlandsvangen and Undredal. Most of the fjord is surrounded by up to 1,800-metre (5,900 ft) tall, steep mountains with little habitation along the fjord except for in a few small valleys.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Flåmsbana, A-Feltvegen 11, 5743 Flåm, Norway

Flåm Railway is a 20.2-kilometer (12.6 mi) long railway line between Flåm and Myrdal. A branch line of the Bergen Line, it runs through the valley of Flåmsdalen and connects the mainline with Sognefjorden. The line's elevation difference is 866 meters (2,841 ft); it has ten stations, twenty tunnels and one bridge. The maximum gradient is 5.5 percent (1:18). Because of its steep gradient and picturesque nature, the Flåm Line is now almost exclusively a tourist service and has become the third-most visited tourist attraction in Norway. Construction of the line started in 1924, with the line opening in 1940. It allowed the district of Sogn access to Bergen and Oslo via the Bergen Line. Electric traction was taken into use in 1944.

We had an excellent tour , our guide Michael was very kind, informative and did everthing possible for us to have a great experience out there. In addition he did the all the explanations in Spanish, and that was a valuable plus for us. Not to mention the marvelous landscape of the region, like the train to Flam , the Naeroyfjord ant the rest of the highlights included. Thanks Guided Fjord tours!

Fantastic scenery throughout the entire tour—van portion, trains to Flam, catamaran tour boat through fjords back to Flam, then return van trip back to Bergen with scenic stops. Paul was a great driver and guide. He had all of our tickets ready to go and personally escorted us to the entry points and was always waiting for us at the exit areas. Really enjoyed his insights and personal attention!! This was at least equally scenic to our experience in Switzerland — fairly expensive tour but avoiding the crowds and personal guide made it well worth it for the 4 of us!

This was the worst tour I have ever booked." And I have taken over 50 tours all over the world. The tour as presented on GUIDED FJORD TOURS web site was not the tour I experienced. And this was a very expensive tour and not worth the price with what transpired. 1. Tour stated there would be an english speaking guide. There was no guide simply a taxi driver who gave no information on the sights along the drive to and from the boat and train rides. Description led one to believe the driver would also be a guide. 2. We were to be driven in a PRIVATE car. Instead we were picked up LATE by a taxi. I did not pay to be driven in a taxi for over 6 hours. A ride in a taxi from the airport to your hotel is one thing but not for 6 hours. The driver was very unkempt and the taxi smelled of perspiration, cigarette smoke, old food and smelly diapers. I tend to get car sick and had to stop to throw up with the smells and had to ride with the windows down the whole time. 3. The taxi driver was very confused about the trip details. I had to read from the email exactly what he was to do. He was going to take us to the train station to catch a train to the boat instead of driving us the 2 hours. 4. When we reached the boat he said he would pick us up in Flam. I told him he was to pick us up at Voss. He argued with me and said we were to take a round trip train ride in Flam. This was INCORRECT but all he had was 2 round trip tickets. Here we are out in the country with no ability to get the correct train tickets. Riding back to Flam added an additional hour of driving time from Flam to Bergen and since we did not get picked up in Voss missed the beautiful train scenery from Myrdal to Voss. We were late to our 7:30 dinner since the trip was over 11 hours not 10. When I questioned the train ticket I was told they had problems in Myrdal not running. However when we got to Myrdal people got off to catch the train to Voss and people got on to take the train to Flam. The taxi driver either did not know to buy 2 different tickets Flam to Myrdal/Myrdal to Voss or made a mistake buying a round ticket and did not want to repurchase correct one or simply was INCOMPETENT, We paid 15000 K or over $ 1,500 for this PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR which we did not receive per the web site details. If this tour had followed the details per the web site I would not be complaining about the cost. IT SIMPLY DID NOT and is false advertising. I have contacted the tour company GUIDED FJORD TOURS two times about some sort of refund and have received NO RESPONSE.

Paul seamlessly lead our group of seven through the tour pointing out historical points and local anecdotes that made the 10 hours fly. As the trip lead, it was so relaxing to sit back knowing that every step was going to be managed with the best aspects highlighted. Highly recommend!!

Si bien en un principio nos dijeron que no había posibilidad de hacerla con guía en español, finalmente sí que pudo ser. De todas maneras, se agradecería la opción de más excursiones con guía en español. La salida, preciosa.
