We enjoyed our tour with Tom. His english was great. We enjoyed walking the alley's of bat trang and visiting with one of the locals in his lovely heritage home. We had fun making pottery and waling around the shops. Seeing the original huge kiln was also interesting. Tom was very kind and helpful.

Great morning out. We had fun as a family with the pottery. We made some fantastic pots with amazing help and guidance. We had a look around the town and got to see pottery being made and hand painted. The market is eye opening, so much to see and with our tour guide we knew we would get the best prices for the right items.

Absolutely fantastic tour. I would highly recommend. I have been on this tour today with my husband and our daughter. We have had a lot of fun with the clay making and painting. Eric was great with his local knowledge and very helpful during our market visit. Excellent trip. Thank you so much Eric. We have really enjoyed our trip.

Rachel and Eric were fantastic. Skilled drivers, great people. Knowledgeable about the pottery village and even went above and beyond to help me select the perfect pot for my plant. Couldn't recommend this tour more.

This was a very enjoyable and cultural experience with phong who was well versed in the history of the village and the processes of the pottery making. The pottery class was a lot of fun and we got to decorate and take our pieces home. Recommend to learn more about Vietnam.

I recently embarked on a private tour with my family to the Bat Trang Pottery Village. Initially, we considered visiting the village on our own, but we made a last-minute decision to engage a tour guide, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! Despite booking only the day before, Harley efficiently made all the necessary arrangements and was incredibly friendly throughout the process. She promptly contacted us after the booking and kept us well-informed. Our tour guide, Phong, was truly outstanding. Not only did he possess extensive knowledge about the village's history, but he also showcased his talent as a great photographer by capturing amazing moments throughout the day. Phong was always available to answer our questions and eagerly shared fascinating insights about the culture and history of the pottery village. His passion and enthusiasm added depth and excitement to the entire experience. Throughout the journey, our driver, Mr. Bang, proved to be punctual and friendly. The comfortable private car ensured a smooth ride, allowing us to enjoy the picturesque Red River landscape along the way. During the tour, we had the opportunity to explore the village and market. Additionally, we were delighted to have tea with a resident of the village and engage in pottery-making, creating clay products to take back home as souvenirs. Phong took us to places that we would have never thought of visiting on our own, making the entire experience unique and unforgettable. Overall, we had a fantastic time on this tour, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to explore the Bat Trang Pottery Village.

A lot of time spent in traffic. Pottery machine is manual no motor). No active teaching is involved and no plan for glazing. It may be good for small kids. Tour of pottery shops is interesting: You can see different products and buy if interested.

Peter was an awesome guide and we had such a good time. He took us to a factory to watch all the work that goes into the traditional way of making pottery. Then we went to a showroom where I picked out a small bowl that's just lovely. Then we went to the village to try our own hand at making pottery and that was quite difficult! We also walked to the temple where they pray to the pottery god and finally to a traditional Vietnamese home which was probably our most favorite part! We had a wonderful talk over tea and learned so much! I'd highly recommend this tour if you are in Hanoi and be sure to ask for Peter!!!

We loved seeing the ceramic pots being made, sketched, etched, glazed and fired. So many artists involved in the process. We also loved our visit in a traditional Vietnamese home. They were a delightful couple, so welcoming and kind. We had fun trying to make a cup. It’s definitely an artistic skill.
