Wander among the original temples, theaters, plazas, paths, and colonnaded streets; all enclosed within the remaining city walls. Within the city walls have been found the remains of settlements dating from the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Umayyad and Abbasid periods, indicating human occupation at this location for more than 2,500 years

A local English-Speaking Guide will be included for your classic 2 hours visit of this Roman Decapolis City of Jerash. This ancient city was one of the most prosperous in the Roman Empire, and was covered by sand for centuries until its remnants were discovered in 1806 A.D. Head through the ancient city gate and walk around the well-preserved ruins as your guide tells you tales about the city in its heyday. See its arches, theaters, and elegant colonnaded street. Snap photos of the stunning Oval Plaza, the Temples of Zeus and Artemis, as well as the intriguing egg-shaped public square framed by standing columns. After this amazing walking tour, return to Amman where your experience finishes with a drop-off at your hotel.

Mahmoud Issa did a wonderful job with pick up at Sheraton Hotel and drive to and from Jerash. The on site guide also was superb - and patient! Highly recommended!

Nice tour, driver Bader was particularly nice, sharp on time and very kind.
Jerash is a wonderful site if you like Roman ruins, as they are well preserved.

Basel, our driver was great! He was very punctual picking us up/dropping us off to our local tour guide. We felt very safe in the car with him.
The local guide was knowledge, but we had higher expectations given the cost of the private tour.
For a fraction of the price, you can take your own taxi from Amman and pay a local guide to show you Jerash for cheap. Highly recommend to do this on your own instead of through a private tour.

The Zaid travel agency made sure the pickup and Dropoff were prompt and they were dependable. They took care of all the trip arrangements and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip.

Our driver Bada, picked us up from the Intercontinental Amman on time & drove us to Jerash.
He was very helpful & obliging, guiding us through the hoards of touts & sellers.
Bada introduced us to our guide Hamid. He led a fascinating tour of Jerash, he was very knowledgeable, friendly and always ready to answer question.
At the end od the tour Bada met us, buying us water & juice, he drove us back to Amman and dropped us off in the down town area

Booked this tour through trip advisor and was completely thrilled to be connected with our driver Hasan. He went out of his way before hand to check on the weather and offer us an earlier pickup time for our comfort. He arrived promptly to our hotel pickup location and treated my group to Turkish coffee (which was delicious!) He was considerate, highly knowledgeable, and just a genuinely fun person to get to know and spend the ride with. Our guide at Jerash was also very well versed in the site and a life long scholar, he catered the tour to our specific interests and helped us get to the most photogenic perches. All in all, you will feel safe, well looked after, nourished physically and mentally. I would do it all again, and can't recommend enough.

Excellent driver and very knowledgeable guide. Amphitheaters and Roman columns are very impressive. Interesting to note that Jerash was inhabited across the time of several civilizations.

My driver, Basel, was very courteous, friendly and interesting to talk to en route to Jerash. Jerash is a very beautiful site. The guide provided, Dr. Sam, was terrific. I highly recommend this trip to other travelers.
