This was a fun experience with some very helpful young people working at the shop. This class teaches you about creating texture on a silver or gold ring and lets you try it and to help in sizing it. I was hoping to learn a little about soldering and shaping/polishing but this session is designed for busy travelers who have about 90 min to spare. I may try this at home!

An incredible experience learning to texture my own ring. And we get a little souvenir of Kyoto. The staff at the little shop went above and beyond. A really lovely time.

We had a wonderful time making our rings. Ryu spoke English very well and taught us how to make the different ring patterns, he's a great instructor! Total time spent was about 1.5 hours and we got beautiful, polished rings at the end. They also were kind enough to take pictures for us so we could have memories of this special experience. We came back the next day to get our rings resized (accidentally made them a bit too small) and the girls remembered us from the previous day! They were attentive during the resize and finished very quickly. I have already recommended this store to some friends who are planning a future trip to Japan and highly recommend this unique experience!
