Surfing is ideal for kids as well as grownups. Under the close guidance of our surf coaches, you will get up and ride your first wave much sooner than you may think, be part of the tribe of the sea!!
Arriving at the starting point, we will give you step by step instructions to make your experience as fun as it is safe. We guarantee that in a couple of hours, you will become part of the tribe of the sea. During our return, we'll talk about those waves you managed to ride and how you felt during the experience. We all come from the sea. This is a good time to resume contact with him to understand it and appreciate it.

For a cruise ship passenger: As you walk from the tender pier through the pier security gate, turn right on the red sidewalk that borders the harbor. The Gali Plaza will be on your left, the water on your right. Walk approximately 20 yards to the Cruise Terminal building. The building will be on your left and has a sign saying API in blue letters. Enter the terminal building and walk to the far side where you will exit onto a parking lot. At the parking lot exit, you will see an Oxxo convenience store. Your guide will be waiting in front of the store. Exact location: PLAZA GALI, Parking Lot (Oxxo) Blvd. Paseo de la Marina 36, Centro, Marina, 23450 Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S., Mexico.
If you are driving yourself: We can also meet you outside Zipper’s Bar & Grill restaurant at Costa Azul bar. Exact location: Carretera Transpeninsular 28.5, Tourist Corridor, B.C.S., México.
If you choose our complimentary transport service: Our round trip transportation covers hotels in San Jose del Cabo, the corridor, and the Cabo San Lucas tourist area. Pick up is approximately one hour before the start of your tour. Upon booking, you can specify your exact hotel. Please contact us to confirm your specific time of pick up one day before your scheduled tour.
We do not offer transportation from hotels outside of the tourist area, such as Hard Rock, Nobu, or Four Seasons (these are approx. 50 min. away from the tourist area); for those hotels, we will pick you up at our standard meeting point:

Our prices are the same for both children and adults. If we have children participating we always aim to have an extra guide for supervision. When you book your surf lesson, please specify whether the participants are children.

As it is a private tour, you have the option to choose your preferred pick-up time within the indicated time frame.
We recommend as early a start as possible as in the mornings there is less wind and cleaner waves, so the conditions are usually more favorable.
As we know, the weather is a factor that can lead us to modify our day; sometimes, we will have to change location, re-schedule, and cancel (the refund will be issued 100% in case of cancellation by us). You will be informed of the options, and you will make the decision. Factors that could influence this are rain, high swell, wind, and jellyfish.
For every 3 people in a class, there will be 1 guide/coach
We use foam boards for our surf lessons. If you prefer a fiberglass surfboard please be sure to request this in advance at the time of booking.
Since this is a private tour, you can decide whether or not to complete the full activity
To join the lesson as an observer you have to book a non-surfer/companion spot on our transport. The non-surfer/companion fee includes round trip transportation, shaded camp (umbrellas and chairs), bottled water and snacks. You’ll be able to enjoy the beach at our camp while observing the surf lesson. To book, simply select “observer (non-surfer)”.
All transfers are complementary and optional, therefore the price doesn’t change if you don’t use the transfer option.
For a full refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. No show or last minute cancellation will be charged in full. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This tour operate from March 15th to November 15th (we do not have waves in the wintertime at Costa Azul area, Cerrito's option available on those dates)

This tour was incredible, the guides were very helpful and great at teaching us all. It was a great experience for the whole family! We can’t seem to stop talking about it, and we keep looking back on all the great memories. This is an experience I would recommend to absolutely anybody, it made me feel a new sense of comfort at sea and I had a lot of fun. Thanks for everything!

I am extremely upset and disappointed in Private Los Cabos surf lesson. It is a parent’s worst fear to send their child away for a class, and have them come back unsafe and hurt. My 6 year old son fell onto the surfboard and his lip, chin, and nose were cut open. He had to go to emergency to have 3 stitches. I understand accidents happen, but the teachers should have given him more instructions and training before letting him out to the ocean. In addition, there needed to be much more handholding, foresight experience, and careful watching for a first time young child surfer. The teachers had the audacity to say this happens all the time to the kids. I cannot express the sadness I feel when I look at his face. The picture was taken next day, after 5 sessions of icing the wound. We still have several days of vacation left where he cannot enjoy himself and activities such as the pool, due to possible infection. If this is the kind of trip you want for your family, then I would encourage you to pay and sign up for this surf tour. If not, I CANNOT recommend.

2 Awesome days with High Tide. first was with a private surf lesson at Costa Azul. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating to my family, which included a toddler. Today we went on a jeep tour to the very cute town to Todos Santos. Excellent guide. Would highly recommend and plan on returning.
