Private Luxury Catamaran Yacht. Full or Half Day Charter - Sail, Beach, Snorkel.

This was our second trip with Seas the Day out of St. John USVI and the two trips couldn't have been more different. It started out bad when the captain thought they were picking up us in St. Thomas when the booking shows Cruz Bay. She was a half hour late. The Neptune is an old dirty catamaran. We told the captain, Anne Marie, where we wanted to go and we were steered in another direction. There was a HARD push to have lunch on Lovango (with an additional docking fee) because they get to eat free and they win a prize if they bring the most people. After the 1 hour lunch she moved the cat 100 yards and we snorkeled there. We thought that we would have some extra time since she got us so late, but she dropped us off early. Coleman, the 2nd mate, was engaging and talked with us. The captain made a comment about it being a last minute booking so she took it, we booked several months in advance. DO NOT book this boat or this captain. I wrote them an email to explain our concerns and that I would be leaving a bad review but I heard no response. We are going back to St. John next year and WILL NOT use this company.

Ann Marie and JW were awesome. They worked to make sure we had a great family trip. The boat was perfect for 11 and could easily handle 12. I highly recommend the full day as we spent time at two great snorkel spots and were never rushed.

Based on all the good reviews I’ve read here, we picked this half day excursion for our family of nine during a cruise vacation (Wonder of the Seas). The cruise port is far and we spent hundreds of dollars on taxi transportation (our fault for not investigating but I wanted to mention it for other cruisers). We sailed with Captain Jay and unfortunately had a very different experience from other travellers. Time was wasted discussing the stops before even leaving the harbour and it took the better part of an hour to get the music going. There was no information on the island, or any attempt at entertainment which I have never experienced on a Caribbean excursion before. Perhaps it was because half of our group did not speak English well, but I would have hoped for more. Also, we were told that there is no toilet on the boat which made some of us very uncomfortable. It’s too bad our experience on the boat was lacking… the islands and beaches around St. Thomas are beautiful though.

Alex was a great Captain. He listened to what we wanted. A calmer water snorkeling experience and was knowledgeable enough with winds to take us to perfect spots. We headed to the direction of Salt pond and made several stops. Hans was a great second mate. He kept the rum punch, water and soda coming as well as help Alex park the boat. This is our 5th charter with Seas the Day and it is our go to when new friends to St. Thomas comes to town. Our grown kids love it as well. Don’t miss out. Book a tour.

While our private catamaran tour was canceled, we appreciate the staff watching out for our safety. As beautiful as the seas normally are, the day we were in ST.Thomas the seas were rough and it was windy. We look forward to booking this again when we are in the area one day.

Captain Vic and our “k” were amazing and made our entire excursion amazing!!! The catamaran was clean and comfortable! Highly reccomend !

My husband and I took a private half day charter with Captain Alex onboard Pisces. We got to sail a little and he took us to a private snorkel spot where we saw an amazing coral reef full of colorful ocean life. We were impressed with how private the experience was, not another boat in sight. After that journey we went to water island and swam with turtles, less private but still worth it for the turtles! Captain Alex and First Mate JW were fantastic hosts and we can't wait to return to book a full day sail with them!

We enjoyed our experience; however, if you are taking the charter with younger children, make sure you bring size appropriate lifejackets and or snorkeling gear. The boat did not have a life jacket for our four year-old, and the facemask for our 11-year-old did not fit correctly. If we had realize this, the experience would’ve been more enjoyable as our boys would have been able to enjoy the water more. Also, we recommend asking the captain to go where the cruise ship sponsored snorkeling excursions go. We asked not to go to those spots thinking a more private experience would be better. However, about 2.5 hours of our 4 hour charter was spent getting to and from the more secluded snorkeling spots and I personally would have taken more comfort being in the ocean with more people around. That last part has more to do with my thought process of if there is a shark attack, with more people around the odds that I will be the one to get bit decrease. Haha Overall, we recommend taking this Charter.

Great service, friendly captain and staff (Cap. Maddy and Han). Both are very professional and knowledgeable. We departed promptly at 2pm and returned after approx. 4 hrs before 6pm. We visited Buck Island for snorkeling (to see fish and shipwreck) and then to Water Island(turtle sighting). We rented a half day catamaran, which was spacious, stable but a bit slow (compared to the power boats we tried before). It was a little dissapointing not being able to see any good coral reef or big varieties of fish. The turtle sighting was all luck dependent; I was fortunate to see one, but it was quite far from me and deep in the water. Just don't expect to see things the same as you saw on the promo photos. Probably we didn't spend long enough time, or didn't come during a sunnier day. Overall a good experience, but not he best private boating experience I have tried. 我们租了半天（4小时）的船。船长Matty和大副Han都很友好且非常专业。他们对周边岛屿环境及整体行程都很清晰。这使我们此行毕竟高效。先去了巴克岛浮潜看沉船、珊瑚和鱼。之后又去沃特岛看海龟。很幸运，看到海龟了，但距离太远太深，看得不是很清楚。别对照你在Tripadvisor上的图片来预期这个包私船的旅程，因为大部分照片都是很难在一次4小时的行程中实现的。或许我应该订个一天（7-8小时）的出海，也可能天气更晴朗些会看到更丰富的东西。归根结底说，这次租私船的体验还是很不错的。但不是我体试过想最完美的出海体验。
