The first stop is the fantastic Palace of Queluz, built in the 18th Century, which was the official royal residence of the king D. Pedro IV of Portugal. The Palace of Queluz was initially designed as a summer residence, becoming privileged space of leisure and entertainment of the Royal family, from 1794 until the departure to Brazil in 1807 following the French invasion. Visit to the beautiful and historic town of Sintra, a UNESCO world heritage site. Discover the picturesque streets, the Sintra National Palace, the fountains, the churches, chapels and shrines.

Climb to the Moorish Castle where the construction of the first sections of its wall dates from the 8th and 9th century. From the castle, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the whole region. It can’t be missed!

The next stop is the Pena Palace where you can admire a mix of architectural styles in the interior as well as in the exterior. The Pena Palace is one of the best examples of Romanticism from the 19th century. Make sure to have your camera ready to capture the fantastic landscape surrounding the Palace.

A stop at a special place where you'll learn about the history of wine and taste the best regional wines.

Next, discover the most westerly point of continental Europe. From the cliff tops, enjoy the fantastic view of the beaches and the sea. From the road near the coast, you can gaze at the beaches and the beautiful towns of Estoril and Cascais.

On the way back, we will have the chance to enjoy this unique beach with its famous dunes. A real sanctuary for surf, windsurf and kitesurf.

And of course we can’t leave without visiting the charming town of Cascais. This former fishing village used to be a royal getaway. Nowadays it still is one of the most attractive destinations for the Portuguese and foreign elite thanks to all that it has to offer: boutiques, restaurants, hotels, beaches and much more.

Driver/Guide: The driver complies with the rules of cleanliness and hygiene. The driver will wear a mask and must maintain the necessary distance according to the protocol. The health conditions of the driver will be assessed frequently.
Protection: In our vehicles, alcohol gel and face masks will always be available free of charge, if customers need it. The driver will advise the use of a mask and hand cleaning with mandatory alcohol gel after all stops, before re-entering the vehicle.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

We had a great time on this trip which packed in so many things including wine tasting and Sintra. Jose looked after us so well and was really entertaining and interesting. Private tour in an air conditioned bus. Would highly recommend 😊

I booked this trip on a whim because we were only in Portugal for a couple of days so I wanted to optimize our time wisely. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip because of our amazing and well-informed tour guide, José!
He started the journey by taking us to Pastéis de Belém to try the most delicious pastries we've ever had, and then ended it in the charming town of Sintra. Along the way, he took us to tour Queluz Palace and to sight-see at various stops. He even took us to a local seafood restaurant he frequents, and it was hands-down some of the best seafood we've had!
I highly recommend this package. Request José if you can!

Our first time to Portugal and we fell in love with the country and with our tour guide Jose! We’ve been to other European countries and have done tours but Lisbon on Wheels did a fantastic job and went above and beyond. Jose was a wealth of information and so attentive. His attention to details regarding our tour or our needs was exceptional. We love it so much we booked another tour with him again!! The locations Jose took us, the castles, the eateries, and sites were unforgettable. The secrets spots with noteworthy picturesque scenery were the icing on the cake! Thank you Jose for such a fun and memorable vacation. Highly recommend using Lisbon on Wheels, we definitely will on our next trip back!

Our host Jose made the day amazing from start to finish. We saw the most beautiful places and were able to alter the tour to suit our interests. Jose was informative and captivating but also gave us our own space. Comfortable vehicle, well allocated timing with stops and very good value for money. Highly recommend, ask for Jose!
