Altun Ha is the nearest excavated Maya Temple to Belize City and is probably the most visited by Belizean school children from all over the country. This beautiful Maya Temple whose name means “Rockstone Water” has wide-open spaces.

Stop At: Mean and Dangerous Adventures, Frank Village, Cayo District, Belmopan Belize
Once at the entrance of the cave system, it’s time for your cave tubing adventure through the ancient Maya underworld. Inside, you’ll see intricate crystalline formations that line the cave with a majestic rise and fall of stalagmites and stalactites that add to the serene richness and grandiose of Xibalba as it’s known.

Stop At: Community Baboon Sanctuary, Bermudian Landing Opposite Soccer field Belize
Founded in 1985 the aim of the sanctuary was to show farmers in the area that protecting the habitat of the Black Howler Monkey could bring sustainability to the village. Your guide will show you the monkeys up close as they scamper across rope suspensions bridges throughout the village.

Amazing day!! Must do…everything was perfect…knowledgeable and personable guide…good food…great adventure…I can’t pick which activity I liked most…it was all wonderful…ruins are amazing…monkeys were of course awesome and the cave tubing was surreal…loved the whole day!
