It was a private walking tour with just my husband and I and we loved it. Our guide Kaleigh was very knowledgable about the city's facts. It was great she was born in the U.S. and could understand the language as other guides its hard when English is not their first language and speak with heavy accent. We would highly recommended taking this tour! It was too bad the Ann Frank house was closed on that day because it was a Jewish holiday but more reason to return.

Chris is very knowledgeable, and friendly. His love of Amsterdam really shines through. We like photography and Chris took us to THE BEST spots for photography during a day tour and a separate evening tour. He even let us borrow his tripod for some evening long exposure photography. I highly recommend Chris for your tours of Amsterdam!

Simon met up with us in our hotel, where we started our tour. Throughout the tour, he showed us to many hot spots around Amsterdam and more notably, he gave interesting facts regarding said spots.
He was enthusiastic throughout the tour, and thanks to him, we were able to much better understand and appreciate life in Amsterdam in the span of 3 hours.
It was a fun walk around Amsterdam, and I definitely recommend everyone to try out this tour, especially for those who plan to stay in Amsterdam for a day or two :)

It was wonderful working with Amsterdam Experiences. They promptly returned my emails, quickly quoted rates, provided excellent tour guides and even assisted with a car service from airport to hotel and back. They confirmed all activities prior to each event. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a private tour guide(s). I am not into the Red Bus kind of tours or large group tours. Working with AE makes each tour so personal and guides are only focused on you and your comfort.

We had an absolute fantastic day with Kaleigh! She was so friendly and fun to be with, and had so much knowledge about the city, the architecture and the history. We just strolled the streets, talked about what we saw, and enjoyed every minute! We finished the day at a cafe, and it was sad to say goodbye! She tought us so much, not only about Amsterdam, but also Amsterdammers. This was the absolute highlight of our trip, and worth every penny.

The bike tour of Amsterdam was the absolute highlight of our trip! Our guide, Carolina, was a wonderful person first of all, but also an amazing guide for this city that is so full of history and culture. We had a 3 hour tour and it allowed us to see the entire city in a big loop. She showed us all the things we wanted to see, added in local tidbits and flavor as well. Most important she continually checked in with us to see if we were covering what we wanted to see and she was very flexible when it came to taking a detour, a water break (it was unusually hot that day), or even walking us after the tour toward the museum quarter. I would highly recommend Carolina as a tour guide and Experience Amsterdam as well. If you’re a little trepidatious about riding a bike around Amsterdam’s crazy busy streets, don’t worry, we were nervous too! But Carolina did a great job giving us an overview and tips and then leading and guiding us through what can be a maze of bike paths, pedestrian traffic, and public transport all whizzing by. You should make sure everyone in your party is in fair shape and can ride a long distance and up and over some small hills. I’m sure they can customize a tour if you wanted to do something less strenuous, but I felt like it was fun, informative, and we got a bit of a workout too! So what are you waiting for? Book your trip today…you’ll not regret it…and ask for Carolina as she is warm and genuine (she also speaks Spanish)!

Today, we did a private walking tour with Stephan from Amsterdam Experiences. He showed us all the highlights of this beautiful city including the red light district. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area having lived here all his life. He even took us to a small cafe where we had the most delicious homemade Dutch apple pie. He took time to explain the history of Amsterdam. The tour was done at our pace and definitely showed us everything we wanted to see. After the walking tour, he took us on a 2 hour canal boat ride where we enjoyed a snack tray and a glass of wine in a unique wooden boat.
I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Amsterdam. You won’t be disappointed.
