My wife, brother, and i all went on a tour with Erik. He was very knowledgeable, very friendly, as well as very accommodating and helpful during the whole tour, also gave us recommendations for places to eat, go see, and if we wanted good drinks. We didn't have any active flowing lava going on for ours but he made up for it plenty with the fun informative conversations. Absolute recommend 11/10

Erik was an excellent guide. We discussed our areas of interest and he tailored our tour around those interests. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He discussed the history and culture of the area and people. He provided us with a great understanding of the science of the volcanoes as we explored various sites. It was a pleasure working with Erik and we would highly recommend Eco Tours.

Our tour guide Jay was exceptional! He was an expert regarding the volcano and its habitats. We enjoyed Jay's knowledge of the history of the volcano and Hawai'i culture and appreciated Erik's recommendations on what to do outside of the park. What an incredible afternoon! We whole heartedly recommend Kilauea Eco Guides!

The private tour Erik provided for our family was exactly what we were looking for to experience all the Volcanoes National Park has to offer. It was the perfect combination of geology and easygoing exploration. He made sure to keep our 9 year old son engaged while also answering our many questions. We highly recommend this personalized experience that supports a local business!

This tour was wonderful! Our tour guide, Erik showed us all the best sights in the park and gave us detailed information not only about the volcanoes, but also about the plant life in the park, as well as Hawaiin traditions history and culture. Erik supplied everything we needed including ponchos which saved us from getting soaked during our tour. He also provided head lamps for the lava cave. He was happy to give us recommendations for places to visit and eat in all the islands of Hawaii and really went above and beyond to make sure that my niece and I enjoyed not only our tour but our entire trip to Hawaii. I would absolutely recommend this tour because the park is huge and without Erik we wouldn't have seen half the sights he showed us. Erik's understanding of and passion for geology and nature made this tour an incredible experience.

Erik was an amazing guide. The walk wasn't too strenuous and the several place we saw in our 3 hour trip were breathtaking. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Erik is very knowledgeable and his years of experience are obvious. To the main caldera and the lava tube to Devastation....everything was amazing. Highly recommend this shorter (3 hour) but perfect tour. Thank you Erik!

Our guide was Erik who is also the owner of the tour company. He gave an excellent overall tour with in depth explanations of the volcano the lava the history of the park. He gave us recommendations for the rest of our day and also restaurants outside the park and things to do after our tour and things to visit on the other side of the island and also on Maui which was next on our itinerary. Worth the cost for this private tour for sure

Eric was the best, most knowledgeable guide I have had for any tour, ever! And that’s saying something. We learned so much about Hawaii, both in terms of geology and native plants and animals, but also culture and language. If you’re planning a trip to Volcanoes NP, book this tour!

I cannot say enough about Jay as a guide. I am traveling for 4 months with our 11year old daughter, world schooling as we go. Jay brought great visuals to help explain the geology and really added to our understanding and appreciation of what we were experiencing related to the volcanoes and the biology in the forests we traversed. He has a lovely manner, and read her level of energy just right. He shared a sense of the traditions of the culture with us in a way that felt respectful and genuine… acknowledging that it was not the culture he grew up in, but one worthy of admiration. We felt very fortunate to have spent our day with Jay.
