Private Tour of the Alhambra in Granada (ticket included)

We had a great tour with a experienced guide Yosin. He knew everything about the history and details of Alhambra, the gardens and the palaces. And he spoke Dutch, so it was an easy tour for us to follow. Alhambra is beautiful and a must to visit> Only minor thing to the organization. We booked a morning tour which ended up being postponed due to a lack of tickets for the time we booked. Flexibility is needed which is not mentioned on the website.

If you want the most pleasant, genuinely passionate, knowledgeable guide, ask for ALEX. He made the visit to La Alhambra for our family of five, a real treat. We were incredibly lucky with the temperature in May, with everything blooming and fragrant orange trees. Absolutely worth every penny.

STOP! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!! We had a CONFIRMED and PAID reservation for an Alhambra private tour with VIATOR through Tripadviser. This was a once in a lifetime visit, and two hours before we were to meet our guide for our scheduled tour, we received a text that they did not have the tickets and would need to cancel or reschedule our tour. Our group of six family members were already on a train to Granada from Seville with no option to modify our plans. This was outrageous and the biggest disappointment of our trip! When we called customer service regarding the situation, we were hung up on TWICE! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRIPAVISOR OR VIATOR! We are still waiting on our refund....

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK. I'm not sure why TripAdvisor would even allow a service.like this on the app. I've been along time TripAdvisor user with the comfort that there is some sense of credibility and security when you use any of the tour operators in their app. This is the first and the worst for me. Same as the other negative reviews it was consistent, my tour was cancelled last minute, no advise or call only because they were not able to secure a ticket to Alhambra, so what we're they selling in the first place? The hope that they can get one at the expense of travellers who spent and planned everything around their tour. Again BOOK AT YIUR OWN RISK

The tour guide was excellent. It may seem like quite a lot of money for just 3 hours but Angela was SO knowledgeable and brought many areas of the Alhambra 'to life' with her animated stories and enthusiastic descriptions. The earphones helped to follow her commentary and she happily stopped to answer our questions. She never seemed daunted. Thank you so much Angela

We loved our tour with Carlos. His tour covered history and some architecture of the Alhambra. His information and anecdotes really brought the place to life. The only downside (and reason less than 5 stars) was the tour operator changed our entry time by an hour and we found out about it on the day of the tour. Carlos again to the rescue with options for parking and meetup to accommodate our change of plans. Can’t recommend Carlos highly enough!!!

Well, if your system allowed me to rate our experience as worse than "terrible," I would. A visit to the Alhambra was to be the highlight of a trip to Spain with my husband, his sister and nephew. On April 4th, I booked a private tour for the four of us through TripAdvisor, which was to take place at 8:30 at.m. on April 30th. My credit card was charged and I had downloaded the tickets, and confirmed the location of the meeting place to begin the tour. So, I had no reason to check my phone for messages IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING ON THE DAY OF THE TOUR. BUT, AT 2:41 AM (Granada time), I RECEIVED AN EMAIL THAT OUR TOUR WAS CANCELLED. I did not see this email until shortly before we were embarking to meet our guide. I frantically called TripAdvisor to see what had happened; the rep could not provide the reason for the cancellation; he tried to call the local Granada tour partner, but they did not answer. The TripAdvisor rep said he was glad I had notified them because "this is the way that we [Tripadvisor] learn, and so can improve our service in the future," hardly consolation for TOTALLY RUINING OUR TRIP TO GRANADA! I had the hotel try to local number, which I was told was a cellphone - still no answer. We went to the ticket office on the Alhambra grounds to see if we could just get in, but there were no entrance tickets of any kind available for weeks. The cost of this private tour for four people was $928.24, which was refunded, but if I had cared about the money I wouldn't have booked it in the first place. So, caveat emptor, DON'T EVER BOOK A PRIVATE TOUR SUCH AS THIS THROUGH TRIPADVISOR BECAUSE THEY DO NOT, AND WILL NOT, HAVE YOUR BACK. The special experience that you anticipated arranging for your family or friends COULD CRASH AND BURN, and THERE WILL BE NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. In addition, we had booked rooms at a hotel within walking distance of the Alhambra, all of which are expensive, to ensure that we would not be late for the tour. I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE TRIPADVISOR FOR ANY SERVICE WHATSOEVER!
