We had the most amazing guide Tatiana who is very knowledgeable about everything Rio and took special time with each member of our family. She comes with you swimming and exploring and shows the fun and quiet spots in the islands. The boat driver and transport driver both very nice as well. The islands are beautiful and water so clear with sea life and fish. Thank you, Tatiana, we will never forget you.

Tatiana was amazing! She was involved with every part of our tour and was so knowledgeable and friendly. We loved spending the day with her. The boat driver and driver from the hotel were also wonderful and kind. Went to several quiet beaches, cave, and more lively beach. Saw fish and clear waters. Great trip!

We had a great day with Angelica, who looked after our well-being. The private tour, where you can do everything at your own pace, was great. The islands were beautiful and lunch on the beach was a great experience. Snorkeling was also worth it, we even saw two underwater turtles. Once again the transfer worked great and everything was well organized so that we were able to enjoy the day without waiting. I would do it again and again! Thanks to Angelica, the driver and captain!👍🌞🌹

Amazing tour guide, Tatiana, showed us all the mist beautiful places for swimming and suntanning. Boat captain Tiago was also excellent. I highly recommend this tour. Amazing views and amazing staff.

A massive drive from Rio. It is 2.5hrs drive time there and the same return. Worth the effort though as the islands are beautiful to see. The lunch at the restaurant was expensive and not that great.
The downside of our tour was we not only took the boat driver and tour guide but the car driver also came along - which made the small boat more crowded than we anticipated.
The guide was good value and spoke English well but the driver was tired by the end of the day and drove like he was in the fast and furious movie, despite requesting a steady trip home.

Huge thank u to Diego and Gabbi for an amazing relaxing day at some fantastic island coves for swimming. The place they took us for lunch was super delicious and catered to vegetarians which was a huge plus. Thank you

We had a wonderful time! Such a relaxing day. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a restaurant on the shoreline and visited several beaches. The first spot was crystal clear light blue water with lots of fish for snorkelling! Bring your masks! Our guide was very nice and accommodating to our needs. On the bus drive we stopped for fresh coconuts to drink and to purchase other food as well as to use the restrooms. Then close to our arrival, we stopped at a store so we could purchase fruit, drinks & snacks for the boat! What a great experience!

Way to know Rio tour to Ilha Grande surpassed my expectation. They picked us up and dropped us to each of our locations. We were able to cover so much territory within our day trip seeing so many beautiful towns, mountains and scenic areas between some urban areas. We felt very safe as the driver was very good. Tati, our tour guide was very relatable and spoke great English., explaining key points of interest. The boat trip was great, accommodated 10 people as we explored different parts of Ilha Grande including the Blue Lagoon. We brought our own snorkeling gear. But they said they have it if needed. Glad we made time for this trip as Angra dos Reis has so many beautiful islands all throughout the boat trip.

We wanted to experience a day outside of the city of Rio de Janeiro, so we splurged on this private trip to Ilha Grande. Patricia provided good communication prior to pick up at our hotel. We had a stop at a convenience store along the way for refreshments and met our boat at a marina in the resort area of Ilha Grande. Even on a rainy day, the scenery is very beautiful in this area and I highly recommend a visit. The dockside restaurant we visited was very good, as well. Way to Know Rio can also customize a tour for you to see city sights and hidden gems according to your interests. Very fluent in English and safe, reliable service!

Amazing tour. Smooth pickup at the hotel in a comfortable van. Very skilled driver, tour guide was very knowledgeable. Boat captain friendly and accommodating. Took us to some beautiful places around Ilha Grande. Definitely recommend this tour and will do it again if we’re ever back in the area.
