Shoyu Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen & Gyoza - all from scratch! This is a full on, intensive cooking class for any ramen lovers out there!

You'll learn from a ramen chef (that's me!) and another talented culinary expert. Together, we'll explore the art of crafting mouth-watering ramen from scratch in the lovely ambiance of a fancy restaurant in Meguro, Tokyo.

The best part? You'll receive a comprehensive recipe booklet, unveiling the secrets behind restaurant-quality ramen. Plus, you get to take your delicious creations home! Imagine treating yourself and loved ones to your own homemade bowl of ramen!

Oh, and don't worry about language barriers – I'm bilingual in both Japanese and English, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable learning experience for everyone!

This class usually takes about 3.5 hours, so get ready for a lot of learning about ramen and doing a lot of cooking!

We don't offer a Vegetarian option at this moment in time.

Sample Menu

• Gyoza Dumplings - Gyoza is a Japanese dumpling that pairs very well with ramen and is offered alongside the bowl often!
• Shoyu Ramen - This is a clear broth (chintan) that has a soya sauce tare
• Tonkotsu Ramen - This is the white (paitan), creamier soup broth
• Ajitamago (Ramen Egg) - This is the flavoured, slightly coloured egg that we will make in class as one of the toppings
• Chashu (Pork Belly topping) - Another topping we make in class - this is the rolled up pork belly that you see in most ramen shops
• Ramen Noodles - We make ramen noodles from scratch in this class. We can make it to your preference depending on whether you like them thin, thick, hard or soft etc!
• Other toppings - We serve the bowl with everything above alongside Negi (leek), Tamanegi (round onions), Nori (seaweed) and Narutomaki (cured fish cake).

I loved the class, you get to do so many things - from learning how to break down the bone for the broth to making gyoza and making noodles from scratch. Andrew takes the class through a quick lesson on ramen flavouring before we begin and patiently explains all the steps. It was one of the last activities I did in Japan and it really wrapped up the trip nicely.

We were looking at a few different cooking classes whilst in Japan and we were so glad we picked this one! Set in a quaint suburb of Tokyo, the little restaurant where we undertook the cooking class was a great size for the size of group we had and had everything we needed. Andy kicked off with a great intro about what we’d be making and what to expect and from there it was straight into it and hands on! Andy did a great job divvying up the various jobs and ensured that everyone rotated and had a chance of trying something different and getting the full experience. The class was great fun and interactive and the cooking lasted for approx 3hrs (the time flew by) and then we all sat down to feast on the fruits of our labour - yummy ramen, gyoza and karaage chicken, topped off with a cold beer. Would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun, involved class where you can meet lots of new people and have a yummy lunch at the end of it all. Thanks again, Andy - Arigato!

We were a very small group that day: just six people and we were able to participate in all aspects of the cooking. Ramen and gyoza no longer hold any secrets for us ! As French we had some difficulty at first fully understanding the instructions but we got better with time !

Would recommend this class to anyone who loves ramen. No matter how good or bad your skills in the kitchen are, this class is for everyone. Andy is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher. Can’t wait to re-create his recipes at home.

Great class. Practical tips and even a recipe to take home with you to recreate the ramen. The tantanmen we made in class was definitely restaurant/ramen shop quality. Very excited to give this a go at home.

This was such a fun and memorable experience! My wife and I had a blast learning the background of different types of ramen recipes, sauces, spices, and toppings. The actual cooking itself was great too. We were in a class of 10 people, so it is definitely a more intimate vibe where you get to rotate to most of the cooking stations and learn a bunch. The 3 hour class flew by with how much fun it was. Andrew clearly knew his stuff and was quick to answer any questions and help with whatever you needed. We made a ton of gyoza and huge bowls of ramen, so you leave the class very full as well!
